Saying don’t do half reps is crazy If you can do 10 pushups than you can finish off with at least a few more half reps There is science to back what I’m saying If you aren’t doing half reps you aren’t pushing yourself hard enough Go until failure or near failure and than pump out a few half reps There are literally so many people with different advice on the internet, it’s almost to difficult to swift through the bullshit and the reality Take everything with a grain of salt If you think doing a few half reps is good for you at the end of your set than go for it Of course you want full range of motion for as many as possible but it does not hurt at all to do half reps at the end of your set

Did a 100 day push up challenge starting with 1 on the first day and adding a push up every day The results were honestly surprisingly good even though I ate and slept very unhealthily It’s an easier challenge to maintain because by the time it becomes difficult, you’re already a month into it Makes giving up a lot less likely

Actually just doing strength based workouts does the trickbrI never trained push ups for endurance but after some while friends ask how many i can do so i test it sometimesbrbrAnd my sets never go higher than 12 for now i do sets of 8 on weighted push ups and yesterday i got to 37 bodyweight reps!

3144 push for mental health is a significant challenge if you are attempting with push ups only 137 push ups per day over 23 days, more if you take rear days, needs multiple sets as well as multiple sessions Basically, do more push ups!

I have a question I complement my normal routine with some high-rep conditioning to improve my endurance and use push-ups as my primary upper body conditioning move due to its efficiency and low injury riskbrI have a strong upper-body pulling chain, however, I don't match my volume of pushups with the same volume of pulling movements Is this problematic?brI also do high-rep kettlebell swings with 20kg but I realise it isn't quite the same as doing inverted bodyweight rows, for example

If I use a full range of motion like shown Chest to floor I have shoulder pain due to a lvl 5 separation on my left shoulder and lvl 3 dislocation of my right shoulder I am doing everything shown in the video but if I go past 90 degrees I will have pain Sucks wanting to do the best technique I can but knowing I won’t be able to without pain

Each rep takes 2 to 3 seconds If goal 30 reps how beneficial is doing 90 second (30x3seconds) planks before u start a push up focus? Atm I do a plank and get fatigued at the 40 second mark Been doing lots of shoulder physio type movements so think could just smash the push ups with good form Stop being lazy

I always heard that spreading your fingers on your hands in pressing movements, detracted from the movement and to have all fingers and even your thumb togetherbrbrI can't quite recall what the reasoning was but it was something along the lines of - it was transferring load away from the muscles, tendons and joints in use

I don’t think that’s solid advice I think you should do press-ups but more variety that targets different areas of the chest and shoulders Otherwise your chest will become imbalance
