Rooting powder has anti-fungal properties, which prevents infection You should have used a bigger pot for the old plant Comment from : @salimkafi |

Do you have an update om this plant? Comment from : @felipearaiza2903 |
That's a Perle von Nurnburg, not a gibbiflora Comment from : @blorkflorkernorp9773 |
I need to do this to my one succulent but I am terrified of hurting or killing him I am absolutely emotionally attached to the little guy (his name is Cadbury) and if I hurt him, I would never forgive myself 😭 Comment from : @lindsayantwine1097 |
I’d like an update on this succulent!! Did you get any babies from the leaves? Comment from : @GenRN |
This pot is way too small to repot a succulent of that size Go up a size from its original pot You can leave leaves to air propagate as well to avoid rot Beautiful succa though 😊 Comment from : @missm2589 |
Glad I found your channel! Comment from : @sis9622 |
I was about to throw away the same plant and somehow YouTube recommended this video This just saved my life and my plant as well hahaha thank you!!! Comment from : @fitrockx |
Q: My echeveria got very neglected and is now on the end of an extremely long stem as I was nervous to prune it, but now I'm afraid if it's too far gone whether I can still propagate it this way and it regrow, both from the echeveria roots and the top growth Comment from : @jakefreeman2957 |
I have a succulent just like that ❤😊 Comment from : @dianearmoogan3326 |
You might try a chopstick to help you poke holes in the soil and cover the stems without touching the leaves Comment from : @jochildress5003 |
Great video, I would love to see how they turned out Mine get super leggy and weird but that's why we like them One experiment I tried was removing one or two leaves from near the top Not to replant I wanted to see if a new plant would branch and it did I love the symmetry of them but also the random weirdness of how they grow I get to grow them outdoors in my climate so I don't know how it would work in Sheffield or other climate not native to them All kudos to you for your videos They are a great help Comment from : @cmcull987 |
🤣🤣🤣 when it fell out…that’s so me 😂😂😂 Comment from : @potheadzndrama215 |
Is it good practice to let the succulent form a callus before putting in soil? Comment from : @RhiSoundsLikeRye |
Thank god I found this I have so many leggy succulents and was wondering how to fix them/propagate them (I knew it was possible but didn't know how) Comment from : @RhiSoundsLikeRye |
I make holes in soil with a chopstick so stems and cuttings fit in snugly Wiggle it around a bit if you need to increase the hole size Great for when you’re adding rooted stem in an existing plant to make it fuller 😊 Comment from : @patruff3000 |
I wonder: why not (if you can) re-pot it so that it buries the exposed ‘stem’? (—is that what it’s called, a stem?, in the case of succulents?) Comment from : @rmschindler144 |
Good ,informative video-thanks Comment from : @andrewsweeney1869 |
I believed this method when I saw the plant topple over and fall Thanks for not editing that out I’m not as clumsy as I thought Comment from : @henrygonzalez9215 |
My stalk just did not grow after 4 months but top of plant has grown roots in a week Can you root this in water? Comment from : @ChelmsfordPhotographer |
Is it best to wear rubber gloves when handling succulents ? Comment from : @vanschermerhorn7167 |
Would wearing gloves help with not damaging the leaves when repotting? Comment from : @lovinyou |

If my soil seems dry should I give it some water before putting the plant in? Or is it best to just water the plant and soil after it’s been replanted? Comment from : @TaylaBo222 |
This pot is a bit small I'd say Comment from : @olatrgr |

I have one that has a very, very long stem What do I do? Cut it down close to the soil? Comment from : @lisaharger3614 |
Nice video In my experience with succulents in general, you should allow leaves and cuttings to sit out in the air for a few days before planting This allows for the cut end to scab over and helps them not to rot When I've tried planting right away, I get up to 50 loss due to rot Comment from : @KateInTheCity |
I like to try and watch ads to support the YouTube channel, but a 20 minute commercial…give me a break, really? Not your fault I know Thank you for your video I have some old succulents and they’re looking very “woody” now I feel confident about how to spruce them up And big bonusnew plants😊 Comment from : @vincesteward8798 |
Very useful, thank you! I have a little crassula that's become so leggy that it needs a chopstick to stay up straight Do you think I can do the same procedure even if it's October and we're approaching the season when succulents become dormant (zzzz)? Comment from : @pfb1484 |
