I have TWO and have had no problems at all mine run 24/7, Junction Temp is 43C GPU Temp is 41C I use them for games and Protein Folding for medical research I upgraded from R9390 and HD7990

I think this test is accidentally or unknowingly disingenuousbrIf you look at Warzone test, you can see 6900XT has too much overhead resources, meaning it is way faster than your CPU, so it's utilized well below 90, while Vega 7 is at 99brbrThis is how when I play Insurgency Sandstorm with RTX 4090 I get less fps than with RTX 4080brDoesn't mean RTX 4080 is better, it is simply closer to 13900k speed CPU that I havebrbrIt happens when your GPU usage is low

What? The RX 6700 XT does support Ray Tracing LMAO And what's a Radeon architecture? There are two there, GCN and RDNA 2 GCN wasn't built cause AMD was broke, it was meant to be a compute card with decent rasterizing performance and a parallel machine The issue was the shader engine which was small ( 4 shader engines per CU, also had severe bottlenecks with the geometry and polygon pushing along with a severe DX11 driver bottleneck as the main thread for call dispatches was single threaded AMD rewrote the DX11 driver for RDNA and even benefited GCN at some point

Picked up a new xfx Radeon VII right before mining took off for $550 Sold it near peak mining for let's just say it more than paid for the inflated 6900xt prices 6900xt was a MASSIVE upgrade for me not only just in fps, but the build quality and silence I still miss the VII though, one of the most unique cards we'll see for a while

1 low is very based on memory bandwidth, of course the Radeon VII its going to be amazing in this with HBM 2, the problem with RDNA 2 its low memory bandwidth, there is only so much cache can dobri believe AMD will only beat NVIDIA in GPUs with fully chiplet design, not RDNA 3 type of chiplet, im talking threadripper type of chiplet

what ppl dont know is, windows is NOT optimised for AMD and vice versa What every AMD GPU user should do is tweak Gpu values in Registry Editor There is few tweaks like gpu priority and etc

The Radeon VII was an awesome card I liked it more than my 2080 Ti, it had a good undervolt and stayed in its boost frequency all of the time I never had an issue with it and I only was getting about 20 fps less than my 2080 Ti I paid $600 for it new and my 2080 Ti was like $1400 Not worth the extra $800 Also, it came with 3 games, WWZ being one of them

Loved my Vega 56 (1450-1550MHz, 1080MHz HBM) and it was butter smooth in games and performed surprisingly well at 4K Unfortunately they die with too much idle time 😅 it's a simple resistor fix for some but very hard and should not try fix for most 🤣brbrI picked it up for $180 YEARS ago, so for the price it was awesome 😂 but I noticed it did very well at 4K (at the time with those games) and that made me happy in 2017

No they weren't very good for mining And they're pretty good cards for gaming You just have to understand how they work I'm running a 3900x with the Radeon 7 and 36 gigs of gddr4 RAM I play my games in 1440 and I have no problems at all and it's water cooled I still own the stock cooler But with my setup I can play any game I want And because of the psychotic levels of video memory it's considered the fastest card on Earth when it comes to video memory

I bought 2 VII’s when they launched at MSRP and sold one at the peak of the mining boom for $3,300 and I’m still using the other one Been waiting for another Radeon card worth buying since I’ve had the worst experience with nvidia every time I’ve bought one of their cards in the past 20 yearsbrbrI’m not sure what driver issues you’re talking about though I only had one issue with Radeon drivers with a Strix Vega64 in 1 driver revision No issues with the VIIs Either of them

Fun fact: Radeon VII was locked to 99 GPU usage the entire time, while the 6900XT was barely hitting 80 utilization This means that most likely the 1 low was simply because the GPU couldn't render faster, unlike the 6900XT's AMDIP :D

uh, radeon 7 has hbm memory, meaning the delay going to the memory bus is going to virtually NOT be there hugely helping 1 lows the 6900xt only has 128mb of infinity cache on die, compared to the multiple gigabytes of "Almost" on die memory in the Radeon 7 the statement that The radeon 7 is "Faster' than the 6900xt is a bit disenginuous when you have less cache on chip, memory reads have more latency The 6900xt destroys the radeon 7 in all other metrics
