You are really missing the point in a couple of ways - firstly suggesting that 'ergo' is one entity: it's not You can't say that because someone in the marketing team did something you consider unethical, that therefore you can't trust unrelated people who are developing on ergo That's like saying well Charles hoskinson gave away this account so now we can't trust anyone developing on cardano brbrSecondly, the idea that you can or can't trust a project based on something that happens on twitter is quite Franky astonishing Ergo foundation is always promoting open source, the ergo protocol is open source and almost every single app built on top So it's completely irrelevant what happens on twitter You don't need to trust anyone, nobody is asking you to Just go look at the open source code if you have some questions about if your funds are safe It's that simple And it would be the same if ergo foundation twitter account was still the old one Your security using ergo apps and your ability to trust something is unaffected and unrelated

The owner of the account decided to support project B instead of project A because A shits on him ALOT The correct aproach would be Charles closing the twitter account the moment ETC refused his cooperation but he didnt and decided to pass to Ergo and closed the ETC feud

This video is a good example of why I respect soat You can tell he's actually passionate about the crypto industry and it's not all about making a quick buck, which honestly cannot be said for 99 of people in the crypto industry He brings up both positive and negative things about projects Don't be blind and dismiss the negative just because your feeling bullish If one actually cares they should be happy to know of both the strengths and weaknesses in a project

The twitter account debate (whatever your stance on it) takes nothing away from how good Ergo is as a project, it’s a Layer 1 as good as any in the Top 10, but it’s down in the Top 300… so it’s a great project 🤝

bWarning/b There are ERGO "storage fees" now - if one has a dormant wallet, the coins can be taken by miners after 4 years This was not the case 2 years ago, so there will be people who mined/bought and are holding for the long term (4 years plus) without checking

I respect your opinion on this particular matter- I don’t see the Twitter account issue as a dealbreaker personally- I’ve interacted with enough devs and community members on Ergo to gain trust in the project overall Also, Ergo is bigger than the core team- it’s healthy to have disagreements and a variety of view points among ecosystem members and overall I think Ergo will do very well in the upcoming bull-run

Matthew, you know how I feel on this as per our engagement on Twitter I’m with you but as I’ve said a couple times yesterday, a few people that made bad decisions don’t speak for the chain or community, it’s an OpenSource collective as you know that’s built more than most chains have in the past year
