So the guy was talking about fructose in sugar being similar to alcohol which can explain my addiction issues with sugary foods I use to be an alcoholic and drug addiction but luckily I was able to quite those things but I traded those things for sugary foods and junk food I'm learning how to deal with my addiction issues and learn about what triggers me to want to overeat those sugary foods

I don't eat fast I just take my time eating because it's a good way to eat and eating fast can make your stomach hurt which is why I don't eat fast I myself just take my time eating and I'm getting to like this guy dr Robert lustig is a smart man

Going to a ketogenic diet as adjunct therapy alongside cancer meds, my weight came easily under control and stabilised 25 kg lower I eat minimal carbs permanently and still work out However, if I eat carbs, even fruit in quantity, I realise I am like a heroin addict, I can't stop Once I understood this, weight control became easy

Fast food was a treat, once every 3 months if that Back in the 1970's and 1980's kids were outside all day in the summer, we had recess during the school year And we didn't have near the junk food that we have today

After being overweight most of my life, I am now beginning to understand that the body is a wonderful machine that has a way and a vision for our weight That's why I don't count calories anymore, because I realized that the problem is not there The problem is that I'm getting fat and my hormones think I'm hungry Since I cut my sugar intake almost completely (except for added sugars), I eat around 3000 calories a day (much more than what I need on paper) and lose weight easily and without problems Constipation in the past became 3 or 4 times of visiting the toilet I still eat almost entirely processed food but it pales in comparison to the devastating effect sugar has had on me and my weight Sugar is just poison for me That's how I survived I translated it from my language, I hope it is understandable

I’m 5'6 got to almost 200 pounds that a bmi of an obese person! Used to drink 2-3 bottles of Coke per day, little did I know I was terrorising my liver with sugar Since I cut down on sugar I lost tons of weight Currently at 160 which is still slightly overweight for my height but I’m getting there Watch you sugar intake very important!!

How is it people can be obsessed when food isn't cheap? I can't be fat by default: br1st food ain't cheapbr2nd Even if I did buy a ton of fruits and vegetables a lot would be rotten before I gotten to all of thembrbrIf I had the money to be obessed, I use the money towards a car and a new home Too much technology to waste money on food And if you fat, some things you can't even do such as going to an amusement park, air travel, staying in a car long periods of time and have to buy a heart monitor which I'm sure isn't cheap Your health insurance is higher brThat is a lot of money to be fat

The punchline is excercise can be great fun ,consistency is key ,and real food is tasty/ and having a 30 inch waist is cool Tbf was podgy taxi driver ,been training consistently for 5 yrs ,couple of guys at my work thought I was under 30 ,it was hard at the start but I stuck in and took my chance

So these days Millions of people around the world suddenly have no self-control? 🤔 it is no doubt the sugar that the food manufacturers are stuffing into so many foods these days, even foods that the populace wouldn't think of as having sugar in them and getting away with it Sugar is under multiple different labels on food labels, the average customer does not know what any of these long words mean Chemicals in junk food, the crap they are spraying on crops, so even fresh produce isn't safe brbrSugar is highly addictive and it's really hard to wean yourself off of it

I've been actively researching obesity in my spare time for years, trying to crack down real solutions for this problem In the last 6 months I've really cracked down on my research and have spent hours a day reading articles and watching documentaries This documentary is one of, if not THE best documentary I've seen yet

birth control, thyroid issues, genetics, etc can make it hard to lose weight and easy to gain not everyone can just get/stay skinny not to mention not everyone can afford healthy food processed foods are cheaper and therefore get you more food to keep your family fed some of these comments are honestly classist and ignorant I'm not fat but do have tummy fat and I have half a heart and thyroid problems, so not only is it easy for me to gain weight and hard to lose it, but it's hard to exercise without getting tired trust me, I've tried stop being inconsiderate and shaming fat ppl

Been vegan for almost a year now and it’s the best decision I ever made in terms of my health and weight 90 of time I eat whole foods: Fruit, vegetables, salad, oats, rice, beans, quinoa and the other 10 of time I might eat a vegan chocolate bar or ice cream like 1x a week but that’s itbrbrI’m not one of those vegans who just eat crap all the time, no I’m one of the breal vegans/b

Is it true, that in the US the Nutrition facts label describes the value per serving only? I think the facts per 100g/ml are more easy to compare on every product And i dont want that someone tell me how much i should normaly consume of something If there are 20g sugar per 100g product, i know, that i shouldnt eat much I dont need the information, that if i eat a serving of 30g i will uptake 6g of sugar Ok, i think someone can habituate to think in servings But you have to calculate to compare between different product with different servings Dont you think it would be easier to use the percent of 100g/ml facts label? Or how you handel this lack of compareness and so the lack consistency? Do you think this indirect potential lack of transparacy is intended?

CICO is the only thing that has ever worked for me And yes not all calories are equal but they’re not equal based on nutrients A nutrient dense meal will keep you fuller for longer than a calorie dense meal even if they’re the same amount of calories A nutrient dense meal has more volume so you’re less likely to over eat or snack later It’s all a matter of sustainability You can lose weight by eating 1200 calories of Doritos every day and that’s it But it isn’t sustainable because you’ll be starving and also you will be soooo malnourished
