Cecil B
Hmmmm, they look sort of like Agate!
Comment from : Cecil B

michael joss
I believe they come from groundwater moving through lava or magma The minerals in solution effect the colours and composition of that inner core, and the outer core is a mix of either the magma itself or matrix However without actually holding and properly examining the specimen, nobody can know what it is in detail
Comment from : michael joss

Adam Steinwender
those are thunder eggs i believe, not always quartz a lot of times its other minerals if im not mistaken
Comment from : Adam Steinwender

BDR
What you have is likely an enhydro agate And to clarify, you had thunder eggs as the geodes were filled, not hollow Enhydro's are worth about 20-50 dollars by the time they've been cooking underground Yours seems like a baby, as the inclusions are black instead of purple Agate has no cleavage (pressure shaking) and has a hardness of 65 to 7 (about the same as stainless steel) which would explain how you had trouble cutting it Enhydro is identifiable by being wet or dry Dry agate is more milky and has wavy inclusions Wet agates are a more waxy translucent gradient and, coincidentally, if you crack them open, there will be water inside the agate, hence the name "enhydro" agate

Dakota McMichael
You have some thunder eggs which means that they have no crystals inside That clear sock inside is called agate which tends to leak into graphed and thunder eggs creating those crystals and layered patterns I hope I helped Ps, I’m not a geologist, just a 12 year old rock hound😂
Comment from : Dakota McMichael

BigSmokinBrud
That would be quartz geodes not all geodes have a hollowed out center either although it’s more common than what you guys got
