Leave the stem behind to die back so sugar in the stem can return to the vine as it dies back Just remove the leaf itself Never remove the sucker work with them as they grow

I'm trying to follow your advice and as I became more zealous in removing the suckers I noticed that my cucumber plants don't grow fruits from the main stem but from the suckers onward So I decided to stop removing them as I see them but when the suckers grow growth points
