One thing that this film doesn't cover is the fact that the 509th Composite Group for carrying out the bombings was formed in December of 1944 They were looking to operationalize things before April of 1945 And note, the gun assembly type bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima was not tested The bureaucracy was already moving forward before Roosevelt's death

How interesting that this documentary doesn't identify the speakers and commentators on screen, that is a serious omission Also at 1:12:38 the commentator erroneously attributes Stalin's reaction to news of the bomb as being because Stalin could not imagine the impact or consequences of using the bomb Little did he or the American government or the film makers realize that Stalin was perfectly aware of the develoments in the A bomb program, through his spies inside the Manhatten project and he was able to keep a poker face at the supposedly momentous news
