Dave, Love your scientific analysis of the modern day technologies Up here in Indiana, we use a less technological approach to determine if its a good or bad day to fish, and I would like to see some testing done on my method of whether or not its a good time to fish I go out in the back yard and look down the road at my neighbors cows, if the cows are laying down, it's a bad day to fish Works out pretty good for me I know the fish here, don't buy into all that high tech stuff!

I usually hunt by the phases of the moon I have had pretty good success under normal conditions my grandmother has told me that catfish bites best when you see blood in there tails I have found this to be true as a youngster Don't know about a fishing app
