Meh Oh well
"When I become a part of the team, will there be opportunities for growth within?" It implies youve already got the role and shows youre looking at the long term
Comment from : Meh Oh well

katie wells
What do you ask when you already work there as a contractor?

PittaBread Chicken
I simply ask:br1 What are some challenges the team faces in the upcoming quarter?br2 How co-located is the team? If Hybrid working, how many days in the office/week?br3 Do you have a date in mind for when you want this role to be filled by?br4 When can I hear back with an update on the outcome? brbr^ I got the job offer in the end! 🤫

Rylee
Thank you for making this video, I have a job interview coming up and this video was really helpful cos I have no idea what questions would be appropriate and best to ask 😊

So just run through the college-learned talking points:brbr1 DEI?br2 CSR?br3 Values?br4 What other modifications can I make to my organic body to synthesize with corporate machina?
Comment from : Nepenhyah

fume 烟
As a recruiter, I would not like to hear any of these questions Also if you have scheduled a lot of interviews during the day, and the candidate tends to talk too much, we feel a lot of time-pressure
Comment from : fume 烟

jenna horner
ERIN! Could you please post tips on taking the most professional headshot from home for LinkedIn? I’ve never had one taken before
Comment from : jenna horner

WhenDoubtGuessE
What if all questions you had prepared were already answered in the interview (without me asking them)?
Comment from : WhenDoubtGuessE

Kimbrolyy
I always ask the question "Why do you enjoy working for Company?" People love talking about themselves, you seem interested in the company culture and learn more about the culture, day-to-day or any cool initiatives the company hasbrbrAnother one is "What is the biggest challenge of this role?" Shows that you are thinking ahead and serious about the role and gives you an opportunity to reiterate how you can use your skills to overcome those challenges
Comment from : Kimbrolyy

Snasxy Yojhael
I feel like I'm lying and being pretentious for asking more questions when I legit don't have any questions to ask
Comment from : Snasxy Yojhael

Lot Prakke
My power move is always the question: are there any doubts or uncertainties you have about me whether to apply me or not? brThey answer and I tell them how/why they won't have to worry about that because etc etc :)
Comment from : Lot Prakke

The_animal_ Ark
Ye I didn’t do anything off the advice you give, 😂 I did get a job, but do wonder daily and when your videos pop up! If I did it wrong 😂 oh well guess it could’ve gone worse brbrFYI I didn’t know her channel when applying brFound her video a few weeks ago ❤

Comment from : AutieZo

Konrad
As hiring manager be careful with this new product question
Comment from : Konrad

SlidAverage6
I felt very intimidated before she started the video 😂
Comment from : SlidAverage6

Teo Mda
Okay, bear with me here: "If I were to start today (fully trained - if applicable), what concrete tasks would you give me?"brI noticed SO OFTEN that how a job is described in writing and how the manager describes it can be SOOOO different, and it is SUCH an important thing! I didn't ask this in the past and I had a job that I only lasted 2 months in and cried the whole time because the description was so general, I didn't ask that question, and it turned out that what they wanted me to do was completely outside of my skills set, experience, and comfort zone It's such a basic question, but I refuse to believe I'm the only one who started a job and was surprised to find out what it actually was
Comment from : Teo Mda

jcwolves
My favorite question to ask is "What made you, my interviewer, choose this company? What keeps you here?" this is a great way to get a personalized insight into the company from a more objective viewpoint Also "What's your favorite project you've worked on while here? Can you tell me a bit about what made it special to you?" this again helps the interviewer give you a peek behind the curtain into what might make the company tick a bit and what sort of projects to look forward to
Comment from : jcwolves

Fátima ArMarques
Hhaha Erin's expression nails it"
Comment from : Fátima ArMarques

Matt Schultz
I would appreciate to see the process about how you film this, edit it, brainstorm it, and the experience that brought this about
Comment from : Matt Schultz

Pseudynom
"Why do you work for [COMPANY]?"
Comment from : Pseudynom

The corporate bs hurts

Chi Chang
At my interview for my current job one question I asked was the one about which part would the panel like me to elaborate on And one of the ladies there (don't remember which group she was a part of under the same company) stopped the panel from answering as it wasn't allowed So fyi that question may not work
Comment from : Chi Chang

Julia Meacham
Do you have any videos on grad school interviews???
Comment from : Julia Meacham

Roger Smith
A lot of these sound like simple lip service-like you’re asking questions just for the sake of asking questions
Comment from : Roger Smith

Zetta Got Bored
This was specific to a position that would be writing about projects being done within the company, but asking someone's favorite project they've gotten to work on shows a willingness to do the task, take interest in the work of others, and to care about the work of the people you'd be reporting to
Comment from : Zetta Got Bored

BenRangel
Asking if there's something to elaborate on is great Sometimes the interview flows naturally and the interviewer might remember some details that were unclear that they'd happily revisit if asked brbrThe sustainability question seems off as the interviewer not know much besides office environment like "we stopped using plastic cups" and the more important stuff you can read onlinebrbrAsking if they have new secret projects to match the competition doesn't seem like something they'd wanna talk about
Comment from : BenRangel

Life with Sara❤️
Umm what if I had a question and they just ended the interview like not asking for questions how do I ask or I just leave??
Comment from : Life with Sara❤️

Darth Florida
Low key this thot look crazy
Comment from : Darth Florida

Ennpey
Question ! How do you ask to be paid on time and make them? 😂🎉
Comment from : Ennpey

BizarreAvenir
I would ask how the onboarding looks like Will the person in the current role be there and show you how it is done or do you get (if you are lucky enough) just a word docbrI would also ask if this is a new role being opened, as wellbrWho are the stakeholders to understand the role more (if not mentioned yet)
Comment from : BizarreAvenir

Mr Calm
How to get hired as a recruitment assistant, Secretary or HR coordinator fast ?
Comment from : Mr Calm

Claire Douglas
I wouldn't ask about sustainability because you're likely putting the recruiter or interviewer on the spot about something they don't have enough information to answer, leaving the interview on an awkward note Better to keep it something specific to their role that they'll be an expert in 😊
Comment from : Claire Douglas

petty and funny
She is such a blessing ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Comment from : petty and funny

Amanda Doering
Can you do one on internal interviews? (Ex: promotional opportunities)
Comment from : Amanda Doering

I asked what training is offered and what the company do to ensure staff safety at my last interview
Comment from : nobody

nodevoutt
I always say no bc they've answered during the interview Mostly get hired
Comment from : nodevoutt

robin
I like to ask "what does your perfect candidate look like/think of someone who filled this role perfectly what did they do that impressed you?" this gives you an opportunity to make you look good, because you can provide examples of your own talent to match their ideabranother is "do you have any reservations about hiring me?" which can give you a chance to assuage any doubts they could have about you
Comment from : robin

Lotus
I always ask if there is anything they feel like I could elaborate on anything further, or if there were any concerns in my responses that I could possibly clear up
Comment from : Lotus

Samuel Eveleigh
Asking if a company is going to launch a rival product to keep up with another company only makes you look like a low grade spy brbrInstead ask what kind of projects you can expect to be part of brThat maintains the interest in future developments but does not connect you to a rival company
Comment from : Samuel Eveleigh

khaoscualdawath
Yeah, not sure how many of these I saw from this girl, but these answers will click for HR droids only that recruit you as a checkmark for the floor level position to your average large company If you have no questions, say that you have no questions If they have actually missed talking any important points, stick to those, like pay range, scheduling, overtime, coverage, family related, follow-up post interview, etc Be stright up and direct A strong set of priorities and values showing will encourage someone who is actually looking for a committed worker for long term If any employer would be discouraged by and drop you out because of these, you are better off without
Comment from : khaoscualdawath

Kay
I have an interview tomorrow, how do I say that I need off in 2 weeks and how do I explain I need a flexible schedule?
Comment from : Kay

Mallory’s Gallery
I had a job interview on Sunday - why couldn’t I have seen this earlier 😫😫😫
Comment from : Mallory’s Gallery

Sylvius the Mad
At big employers, I like to ask inside baseball questions about the interview process Since the interview is already done, they're more willing to reveal things like how the answers are evaluated, or which questions were unscoredbrbrThis is extremely useful information if you ever have an interview for a different position at the same organization
Comment from : Sylvius the Mad

juiceboxx
the only time i didn't have questions prepared was after the 5th round of interviews for the same company -- is that still ok ?
Comment from : juiceboxx

Etianen7
If the interviewer left you only 5 minutes for your questions at the end of the interview, I'd consider this a poor interview practice Better interviews either start with the candidate's questions, or they're mixed in throughout the interview (more like a conversation format than an interview)
Comment from : Etianen7

Ay Okay
Cool to know
Comment from : Ay Okay
