Good vid man I have been using the Nvidia controller for years and find it a blast to use Obviously its a great controller in terms of functionality but what is really worth a mention is the enormous battery life on this thing (shame they dont have a battery life indictor though) The way it connects to the PC instantly makes it perfect for me although i have not used any other controllers except a PS4 which was not as seemless on PC

Ive used the nintendo switch controller and its so bad, and thats coming from someone who never played videogames before and its the first controller I ever used You can just feel how uncomfortable it is and the buttons are so bad

are there any extra drivers needed to be downloaded? Cause as much as I know PS3 controller DS3 had some drivers or tools that had to be downloaded in order to play Xbox doesn't require

for me the steam controller will be always in first or second place at least The main problem that i realised is that the only thing you can't change is how the haptic behaves, so when i got a change to use a different haptic feedback using kozec's sc-controller i finally could play Ace Combat 7 on the steam controller without the analog stick The other controller is either a ps4/5 controller for analog triggers and pro controller for being a xbox controller with gyro and no analog trigger brbrat 8:46 i noticed you pressed the pad to activate the button The base configuration for the steam controller is really shitty in my opinion they should by default leave the dpad with the "require click" off and give a nice strong haptic feedback so you can feel you are really pressing it The way i do it is use the left pad as the analog and use left stick as a dpad, just add the haptic feedback in there and voilà "good enough"brbrFor more features on pc the dualshock/dualsense and steam controlller always comes in first simply because of the touch pad on both and the extra button on the SC which you can buy a attachment on the dualshock 4 The second is the switch pro if you feel you don't need or won't use the analog triggers, that was the only reason i don't have one (yet) and the xbox controller is the backwards one so nothing new, good trigger though, i still have a original wired for the 360 brbrAlthough i think we should replace the analog sticks with a touch pad, in the end everyone have a different opinion based on the quality of the product and feeling when you use it so can't enforce what i'm saying unless i work for microsoft and design the next console controllerbrbrThe "replace all analog sticks" statment is simple: if you want a stick get that 3D print spiral i'll do that and forget my dualshock 4 exist most of the time unless when i'm playing Ace Combat and Dark Souls No need to fix a stick drift if you can just replace one single piece of plastic that act as the spring Stonks (Maybe the feel isn't quite the same but it will get fine tuned with time)brbrbtw i'm (probably) what you called enthusiast in the end last of the video when you mentioned the steam controller

for me it's Steam input/custom mapper with controller that has GYRO PS4 controller>nintendo controller Best controller is 3rd party universal controller for PCandXbox/psX/nintendo at 100 usd Gamesir has clone of Xbox pro controller with small touchpad and gyro

So I'm an Xbox gamer and I have various generations of Xbox controllers I wanted a new controller for the PC, but the new Xbox controllers cost £55 minimum without the rechargeable batteriesbrbrI also have a PS4 controller I was using with PSNow games on the PC I started using it with Steam since it is compatiblebrbrActually I really grew to like it The way it's shaped is different from past PS controllers, so using the left stick at the bottom is just as comfortable as using the left stick up top as with an Xbox controller The left and right triggers are not as good as Xbox controllers, just because Xbox controllers have always had more depth to them Also, I have to say, the PS4 latency over bluetooth on the PC is UNREAL It's SO LOW for controller that really hasn't got official support on the PCbrbrI actually bought a PS5 controller for the PC because I thought eventually the extra features would be cool But I sent it back before opening it, because I realised while PS controllers work on steam and PSNow, that's kind of it Gamepass games didn't really recognise itbrbrIt's another half hearted thing with Sony They've started to support the PC Kinda PS games on Steam, PSNow on the PC is half hearted And since I know how Sony is, it'll be a LONG time until Sony properly and officially supports PS controllers on the PCbrbrSo I ended up buying the Turtle Beach Recon I think it's called It has a wired but detachable cable It's nice The triggers aren't quite as good as official Xbox triggers but they're good enough And because it's wired, I won't have to worry about latency and it's cheaper So it was £42 Since it was designed for Xbox, it has full native windows supportbrbrIt's a shame though, I was happy to go all in with my PS4 controller for PC gaming

I fly little FPV (racing) drones The controllers/radios we use have iproper/i thumbstick gimbals with ball bearings, hall effect sensors, adjustable centering and tension, etc Some of them aren't even ridiculously expensive I wonder if/when we'll get to see this in game controllers, too!!

Don't forget the grip buttons on the steam controller For Dark Souls, you shouldn't have to touch the face buttons unless you're healing Roll/sprint is easy with the wing
