I am definitely going for a gaming laptop and went for Asus TUF dash F15 with RTX 3060 since outside of classes( which may require graphically intensive CAD software use), i'll be doing VFX, 3d art and game dev work

A laptop can be a passable workstation, but a lot of people don’t need the portability, and a workstation is a much better… workstation than a laptop Certainly a lot more bang for the buck

I've just invested in the new M2 pro 16inch MacBook Pro for my degree in Architecture and I'm a little uncertain if I should exchange it for the M2 max chip with the 32 unified memory Mine only came with the 16 unified memory I'm thinking well I've spent $4300 AUD what's another 1k? Ive had a zenbook pro duo for a couple semesters now, its honestly been revolutionaru in terms of my workflow It feels a little bit underpowered compared to the rig I use for gaming for instance, but being able to pull panels onto the second screen has beein instrumental for stuff like assembling my portfolio/cleaning up drawings and working in rhino and grasshopper simultaniously
