The RX 6400 is an underrated card It was at the time of its release, the fastest LP card you could get and even now the only things that beat it(even if they are better price to perf) are the RTX A2000 and RTX 4060 LP from Gigabyte both of which costs HUNDREDS of dollars more and also use a lot more power For anyone with one of those cheap/old office PC's with a decent i5 or i7 in them, I would 100 recommend an RX 6400 for them

Sorry finding the upgrade visual from a 1030 to a `1080 hilarious because if your thinking about buying a gpu that consumes 30 watts and can therefore be used on a machine with lets say a budget budget psu such as a aresgame or Iwin or an evolabs that will handle the gt 1030 just fine buying a 1080 with that same gpu will cause a fire in about 20 seconds

bro i got a 2080 super for 140 dollars and it works fine i just needed to tune the clocks because idk why but msi afterburner sometimes messes with the clocks and makes my gpu crash even though its at good temps

My first gpu was a used 1080 ti a couple of years ago, that thing is beastly even now I did have to replace the fans once but I am not gonna lie that was kind of fun and the GPU is still works great I did eventually buy a newer GPU although I can hardly call it an upgrade if any at all "3070" but I only did this as I was troubleshooting my machine and needed to ensure the GPU wasn't the piece giving me issues which it wasn't I might seel the 3079 and just keep my 1080 ti but I am also getting a new machine soon with another Gpu so who knows The point is, used GPUs can be great value, especially for a point of entry

I must have blinders because everything you explained for new people just seemed extremely obvious Like yeah of course, different brands have different naming schemes and you can’t expect their naming to be perfectly correlated to performance You just have to do your research on what you’re buying If you can’t do that, get a quality pre build or stick with a console

In the past, usually the mid range is have a very good price performance ratio The crap is always crap So avoid it The extreme models were like paying more than double to get that extra 20 and easily being surpassed by next gen mid range So you pay a pretty huge premium for that extra luxury Now it seems that a new mid range is not able to beat last gen best, and it still got a significant price increase So it is no longer a very good option Better wait one more gen

While I understand your point, GT 1030 is still a life saver in poorer countries in Indonesia The price different begween a used GT 1030 and a Vega 8 iGPU is equal to at least three days of work, while for you wealthy westerners, it's closer to 2 hour of work
