I am curious about the 30 mining percentage to allow fake transactions through for confirmation Here's the problem because of the MASSIVE hash rate you can really only mine Bitcoin using ASICs BUT, ASICs are built with hardware logic gates, and you are looking at a minimum of US$100k to fabricate a new ASIC chip that contains faulty logic The gates cannot be re-programmed, they are built at the silicon level To have a majority mining pool that could majority confirm bad transactions would require building physical ASIC mining equipment with an intentionally and deliberately faulty silicon layer Who would spend that amount of money to fabricate those chips AND build them into a majority of ASIC mining equipment? Not even the NSA has the black budget to do that! AS for doing it with FPGAs, it would be FAR too costly to do that, and how would you practically upload the re-programmed logic into that many FPGA miners anyway? I just cannot see how it would ever be possible, even if the biggest mining pool held 66 of all mining Can anyone explain to me how any ASIC mining pool could ever confirm false transactions?
