The GT1030 has a dual link dvi port unlike the GT710 So with a simple dvi split dual link cable you can connect 3 monitors to the GT1030 also

I actually bought a gt 1030 for a low profile optiplex and another consideration, other than the cost, was how much power it draws The optiplex i have has a very low power power supply (180w) so I had to look for a graphics card which not only gave me ok performance but also only pulled about 30w

I HAVE that Dell optiplex with the 1030 It got refurbished/rebranded as a gaming pc They put this oddball rgb pannel in the front, gave it 16gb ram, an ssd and called it a day You have to tweak a few things, but even demanding games are perfectly playable I think its the motherboard itself, but i have a working VGA output, so i can run the extra display if i wantbri believe i did in fact get ripped off in the end, as the base model does all the same stuff for less money, but the total cost was still around 600 usd

Very confused since that looks more like the sddr4 version of the 1030 than the gddr5 Especially since the the gddr5 version has an hdmi and display port (which can daisy chain), not a dvi

this is a personal preference but i mostly play last gen games these days because i think most current gen games suck ass GT 1030 can run most last gen games at least 60 fps 1080p-1440p at max settings this card has low cost, low power usage and some of the best games ever are not modern titles there is a huge library of last gen or retro titles to explore you dont always need the latest graphics card

I'm a casual gamer and unlike most people, I still have an i5 third-generation processor with 12 GB of RAM and Intel onboard video after my GT 730 video card gave up the ghost a couple of years ago I love computers but I live on a low income (<$25 K/year for 2 people) and it drives me crazy how so many (current) reviews call $200-250 budget video cards I can't spend much more than $100 for a video card, even if $25 more would get me a way better card So I'm comparing these two cards btwo/b years after this review for an actual budget card lol But I'm okay with playing older games and using lower settings on more recent games (as in 2-3 years ago) So I just want to thank you for this review!

I get 21 fps on Furmark at 1080p settings with the Gigabyte GT 1030 with the GDDR5 memory I purchased mine back in 2017 for around $80 I wanted a fanless card and there weren't many of those in the half-height size to choose from It works great in my HP SFF PC-turned HTPC It may not be recommended for the newest AAA games, but it's a GPU that works pretty well considering it only sips 30 watts of power

You say people don't use these for gaming, but that's not entirely true Lots of people use the GT 1030 to soup up old systems And with a decent processor and a 16 gigs of ram you're off to the races If you are poor and can't afford something better, this is a good option By doing this you can get a good performance on lots of games Especially if you turn the graphics down to 720p And it can actually play a ton of older games very well too Obviously it's not the optimal gaming experience, but it's actually pretty decent

I know there are some DDR4 versions of the GT 1030 which have been shown to be a lot slower than the DDR5 version Doesn't really matter to me anyhow since I would not buy either of them or the GT 710 My old card was a GTX 960 and it was an order of magnitude better than any entry level card I bought that for maybe $200 back before the scalpers and miners were exacerbating the shortages and causing everyone who wanted them to need a second or third mortgage on their house Even now that sh!tstorm is only still passing

I went from a 2014 apu to the 1030, it was a huge performance increase so i was very happybrA few years later i went from the 1030 to a 1650, once a gain a huge performance increase so i was very happybrThis year i went from the 1650 to a 3060 12gb, couldn't be more happybrbr99 of internet said the 1030 sucks, same for the 1650 and even with the 3060 'i should have gotten the Ti'br(Even though the price difference between the 12 gb and Ti is 400 euro, that's a 90 difference, the ti does not perform 90 better so actually the ti is less fps per euro but whatevaah)brbrConclusion: don't get distracted by other people's opinion, it all depends on your upgrade pathbrSearch for benchmarks instead of opinions, keep your expectations in check and you'll be fine!
