In Jan 2020 I bought a new 2600X for $8900Since the world sick came it went back up a lot But the point, just because they dont look at last gen here does not mean its not the best value currently AMD now calls late binned CPUs XT and charges release price for them because they can get a few hundred GHz more our of them So in reality I got a 2600XT for $8900

Ease of upgradability is the only issue people have with Intel, their socket naming and all is just plain confusing and stupid AMD on the other side have sockets that are compatible with almost all of their CPUs and the socket naming isn't a mess
