1948/49 fuhren wir in einem Bus zu einem Schwimmwettbewerb Die Straßen waren gerade so vom Schutt befreit 1995 saßen wir im "Italienischen Haus " am Elbufer und löffelten eine Rote Grütze Und heute? Unglaublich und DANKE an alle, die an dieser Auferstehung so hart gearbeitet haben ❤❤❤

I visited Dresden in 1968 when much was still in ruins, stayed at what is now the IBIS hotel which was quite reasonable Went again 2018 and was really impressed by the rebuilding done to some extent by the East Germans but mainly by the west after reunification My wife was very impressed despite the fact that we have travelled extensively in Germany and have seen some fantastic cities and towns as well as the wonderful countryside We hope to visit again sometime
