Good guide, but the term "remove" with regard to bloatware isn"t quite accurate The preinstalled system apps (bloatware) are actually being disabled via adb shell, not removed from the device Those apps are still fully intact on the /system, /product, /oem or /vendor partitions The only way to fully remove them is by superuser access over the Android OS, or by installing a custom recovery such as TWRP, mounting the /system partition as R/W (or other partitions in which preinstalled apps are present), and using recovery"s native file management interface to individually remove the unwanted apps Comment from : M Shane Britton |

I really wish this would get rid of the bloatware completely Otherwise all you have to do is go in to settings, click on to your apps and disable what you don't want running And in developer options you can limit how much is running in the background I can't root my LG v30 because I can't get into OEM unlock It's not listed Oh well Comment from : Donna Dennis |

Wow That sounds time consuming and I'm sure I'd manage to mess it up and therefor make it even more time consuming Samsung's notorious for their bloatware but personally I've managed just fine with them included Still, I may stick with Realme phones from now on At least this model I have now literally has only 2 bloatware apps At least it seems so because most of the pre-installed can't-be-removed stuff look very much like system related apps Apart from the two Whilst only about 14Gb out of 128Gb had been used out of the box Comment from : Little Bad Wolf |

I just bought a cheap, brand new and squeaky clean (but bloated) Samsung A11 I'm planning to follow your directions but I'd prefer the nuclear option: changing the OS to Graphene (only available for Pixels, sadly), LInux, TAILS, or anything that cuts the cord from big tech intrusiveness Any thoughts? please forgive my ignorance and paranoia but will this eliminate some of the unauthorized spying and snooping that absolutely DOES happen? thanks for the info Comment from : yetisuncle |
The reason the apps from the play store don't work most of the time is because you can't grant certain ADB privileges from inside the android os Also the removal app doesn't have the authority to remove most things and most of the time can't even request permission to do so Comment from : Mikey-rikey |
