Hi, i used your code line by line, it works except that even if i have set the time to five mins later as soon as i click the button in my current activity to set the alarm, it starts ringing and goes to the AlarmReceiverActivity solutions plz

Possible answer:
release your lock in "onPause" and not in "onDestroy" as the activity
