Well afaik State backed fiat money has value because the State itself requires it for the payment of taxes So that's one of the main function of taxes: to ensure the official currency retains a domestic value

Funny thing that money is literally just paper that people accept has a value Money used to be a representation of a certain amount of gold The global economy makes everything so much more complex The problem with people being able to create a cryptocurrency at will is it delegitimizes currency such as Bitcoin that already has an established base A currency that can't be regulated has the potential to be volatile There can be big rewards but also big losses It's best with any investment to not put in more than you can afford to lose I'm no financial advisor though, do your own research on the subject and maybe talk to a professional before you lose all your savings on something stupid
