Funding, I believe, is only going to crash rather than build startups in Africa; funding would only be a positive force if it was towards already successful startups but that is not the current case! We continue to see funding enabling everyone and anyone to jump into the startup space As such, we are not seeing innovative ideas on the continent but, rather, creative folks driving startups! brbrDo we have more entrepreneurs on the continent? I can argue that we actually are seeing more enterprising individuals coming up, which is amazing; what that means is that a huge number of startups on the continent are by enterprising and not entrepreneural beings! This is because funding, especially in a continent such as Africa, only enables enterprising activity and not entrepreneural activity!brbrIts great to see that more startups are sprouting on the continent; we are still yet to realize a startup on the continent that will shift the direction of this continent and such a startup is not going to be found through funding!!

One area many Africans are lacking is lack of computer labs in schools, I am in Somalia and there is no computers to learn basic IT, coding etc and that makes hard to get talent to build next tech innovations We hope those big tech companies help schools get basic IT equipment across Africa particularly Somalia

Problem with Africa is that many of its tiny countries are not viable as functional economies The continent would be better off if it functioned as one big market Steps have been made in that direction but I don't have confidence in african leaders to bring this enterprise to fruition Divisionism that is ripe here and African leaders' propensity to look after themselves instead of their population will not allow this
