Love your channel, always good info Quick question if I may, regarding raised beds Can a bed be built to high, like 5ft Reason why my area is challenged from shade and spotty sun To get the best and most sun, up higher the more sunlight my plants get Thanks!

I am replacing our 7 4'x8'x 10" wooden raised beds with 12 2'x4'x 12" oval metal beds I have seven set and filled with soil Six are in use with lettuces, cabbages, collards, Brussels sprouts and garlic right now We are in zone 8a in southwest Georgia

honestly, I LOVE HOW BEAT AND TIDY your garden is I tried watching the minimal effort let everything grow wild stuff, and I can't Your channel is the only one my personality can handle I'm on zone 5a/ 5b so I genally can't even do most of what you do at same times By my gosh you're garden is so clean and symmetrical, just gorgeous Love it!

I need to re-do my beds but they are on a slope and the rain washes out the edges I am re-using composite deck boards from the beds but cutting them down from 12 foot Any help on arranging raised beds on a slope?

Excellent inspiration 👍 My wife and I used to live in Boise ID we moved to Salisbury Maryland zone hardiness 7B We close on our house Friday and I plan to start building our garden right away My initial plans are for 6 raised beds 16' * 4' made from 4*4 interlocking 5 tall and I plan to arrange the 3 and 3 side by side with 4 cattle panel trellis full length of beds It's all south facing unobstructed ☀️ also along the inside of our privacy fence on the north side we plan on having okra but not in a raised bed We also have a brick patio area with a fire pit that I plan to surround with flower boxes and maybe some type of structure to hang flowers on Still thinking about that? Do you have a email that people send you these pictures? I'll send you pictures from the very beginning to the end and the progression I like your channel I'm going to subscribe it's fun to see what people do Thank you

I have heard that using galvanized steel water tanks or roofing could be dangerous health wise because they chemical they use to adhere the zinc to the steel is unhealthy Do you know of any scientific studies that tell anything about this?

The raised beds were GORGEOUS! I'm anewby gardener, two years in as a result of covid I started with one elevated raised bed My idea was "tabletop" I did NOT want to bend over to tend or harvest I now have three pre-fab ERB's, one custom ERB that's 8x3, a custom built bed built especially for manpukuji carrots, a squash bed I built two weeks ago They're all cedar, the squash bed is not an ERB It's 6x3, 3 feet tall and I've used the HUGELKULTURE method to fill it! 😃 brI got xmas trees from local park after the holidays and filled the mank and squash bedsbrYou mentioned the increased cost of lumber and filling beds so I thought I'd share that bit about the HUGELKULTURE method brI'm in zone 6 and can't wait till March to again spend my days and evenings on my floating deck surrounded by the ERBs brGlad I found your video! So inspiring ❤️

I keep watching your videos and love every single idea I see on them! I have always had a gardener's heartI love containers and my husband, Mark and I have talked about raised gardens so much! We have disagreed on how tall the beds should be but I think/hope I can talk him into taller raised beds garden I also love the idea of making it asthetically pleasing to the eye as well as functional I am an artist (music - [ I teach piano, guitar, bowed psaltery, choir] and crafts [ needlework, quilts & loop yarn blankets, Chadelier Crystal Xmas Tree Ornaments, Etc] ) as well so want to make ours a beautiful space! We just moved into a rental, not sure how long we’ll be in it but my husband and I got some lumber at Lowes for 70 off at the Cull cart 8’ long, 2’ wide, a foot deep A lot of ‘bird’ pressure Anybody deal with birds eating off their plant’s first leaves 🍃 super annoying Can’t wait to move to a bigger property so I can have more of everything Very beautiful and inspiring gardens your viewers have

Just getting started in gardening, so pardon my ignorance I understand the benefits of raised garden beds that are about 24" to 36" tall, - but I don't understand having raised beds that are only 8" to 12" tall Seems one huge advantage, of not having to bend over so close to the ground is eliminated with such a 'short' bed Are they worth it?

Got my garden started 🤙🏿we have 2 edible section and 4; floral sections, just created a wild flower section and a mint& herb section today! Next I plan on installing a hanging base and we will grow creeping thyme I'm hoping that it hangs over the brick walls that operates as a gate for now The last few things I plan on installing is white clover, a bamboo border for privacy and a trellis 🤙🏿💪🏿wish me luck I'm a novice at best but I'm loving it 🤣this started out as my fiance and daughters project but I have a nack for it

I really enjoyed all of the gardens and had to add to my to do list many of the beautiful ideas! I also garden on what I call a dime! Other than the wood for my beds I used found and saved items to begin From 3 beds first year now I’ve added 6 herb planters a tall mobile strawberry planter and 2 ground squash beds Thank you for sharing!
