Finished the game yesterday and it was amazing, sure it has its flaws but the ideas were interesting Playing as the antagonist and seeing her perspective, thats a bold move from the devs In the end I didnt want to kill Abby, it felt not right anymore, sure in the beginning you want to f her up but after all this with Abby its not the same Game literally spoiled my wish for bloody revenge 😂 Concept of the game was very fascinating to say the leastbrPs: I still think Ellie would have killed Abby if Lev wasnt there just saying

It sucks how they got rid of Amy Hennig, she was the genius of the Legacy of Kain series In the final game defiance, you play as 2 characters back to back, one who goes through an arc of being antagonist of Soul Reaver 1, but works his way to becoming full blown deutroganist of Defiance Due to intrigue in Defiance, the 2 POV characters have to fight one another, and it produces one of the most memorable moments of gaming for me when you beat the first phase of the fight, theres a cutscene, and your POV switches to the canonical winner of the fight brbrIt amazes me that a team with that legacy who has the right to utilize that gimmick of a switch between the 2 POV characters within the fight was thrown away Both are even POV characters of the story, it follows the same formula and is fumbled!

Yeah I’m not really sure why anyone would care about Abby’s perspective in the story The first one was all about Ellie and Joel, and now Joel is killed because of some character we didn’t know existed appeared in this game seeking revenge? Pfft Joel’s death is unfortunate, because he would’ve died at some point anyways, but Ellie not getting the revenge that is deserved and her loosing everything is honestly kind of dumb She should have been able to have victory 🤷🏻‍♂️

For me the gameplay and graphics are 10/10 But the story is a mixbag there are moments when it's powerful, challenging and emotional and other time is frustrating, preachy and absolutely stupid I think WAR FOR PLANETS was a better revenge story while Abby was a better developed character than "The Colonel" the structure and pacing was much and it stayed focus on Cesar's arc 🤔

The state Abby was in was brutal While a lot of people would've wanted her dead after what she did to Joel, the amount she has suffered since kind of makes up for it And Lev relies on her much like Ellie relied on Joel when she was a kid And Ellie realized killing Abby wouldn't have done anything at that point
