Does a SegWit transaction require both the source and destination addresses to be SegWit addresses or can a SegWit transaction contain a legacy source address and a SegWit destination address?

New at Bitcoin I have bought through swan and trying to put on ledger nano When I go to receive it doesn't have an address that starts with a 1 or 3 , so I can't use it to grab my bitcoin I get a longer number that starts with a b on the nano and it won't work to get my bitcoin off the site The site said I need something that is segwit or segwit legacy Confused

quick question I have a ledger nano S and once I have sent btc to the wallet, the next time I try to send again the wallet is a different address My question is can I still send btc to the previous wallet address it generated? I want to leave 1 wallet address for people to send me btc and not have to keep sending them my new wallet address Thanks

Is there a simple explaination for when you send BTC from nano ledger s under segwit, why it asks for an output#2 change address? This is very confusing and there are no explainations of this as yet?

Per my previous comment, I would also like to add, SegWit uses hubs so it makes it centralized instead of decentralized which Legacy is So instead of going through a miner from one blockchain to another there is a middleman or multiple middlemen Please watch the video I noted below youtube/8nC3poxJ3Ck

I watched a video yesterday about SegWit and the guy stated if you transfer your coin to SegWit it will no longer be on the blockchain You will have a SegWit coin and not a bitcoin! Hey Ben, for someone who is just storing bitcoins on Ledger Nano S and not doing transactions what do you recommend? Leaving them on the Main Bitcoin chain or moving them over the the SEGWIT chain???

Thanks for the video! I have a Ledger Nano S I am simply someone who buys and holds bitcoin I don't mine or receive payments in bitcoin Should I still be switching over to Segwit? Or can I just hold my current bitcoins on the legacy side and when I buy new ones of Coinbase, transfer them from Coinbase to my Segwit accounts on my Ledger Nano S? So basically stay the same for existing, but with new ones coming in hold on segwit Therefore holding on each in the long run?

[02:18] Bitcoin Cash didn't actually "take-out" SegWit when it split from the original Bitcoin chain on Aug 1 because SegWit hadn't yet activated on the original chain I think it's more accurate to state that Bitcoin Cash didn't include SegWit support in its client software
