I've been teaching teenagers for about 15 years I use a stopwatch, and every time I have to wait for them to be quiet, I put the stopwatch on However many minutes it amounts to, that's how long they have to stay behind for If there are no minutes, they get about 5-10 minutes at the end of class to chat and relax as a reward Works every time, no matter how rowdy the class is The best part is, it's the students telling each other to be quiet because they hate staying behind For teenagers, hearing it from your peers is more effective than hearing it from an authority figure Comment from : a a

Actually I am the only person who respects noisy class, they have natural reason to be noisy Noise means they are socializing, these days many kids do not act well in the social manner i think if they are curious about something and have a discussion about it, it is good for them to understand the world around them Rigid curriculum should be eliminated, they should learn what they are curious, they will learn more Teachers should not be teachers but mentors or facilitators Comment from : Mai Quách Quỳnh
