Capacitors certainly can be made into spot welders but what this guy made would never work First of all, I doubt that the capacitor bank that he built could supply current enough to do a spot weld Secondly, even if his capacitor bank could supply current enough to spot weld, the instant he tried to apply it, that much current would disintegrate the itty bitty internal wires he used to connect the capacitor bank to the thick lug posts I mean seriously, folks! Why bother using such thick lug posts and heavy gauge probe cables when the wires supplying current to them is so itty bitty??
