Actually, the strategies are good and I do the same while teaching my students but most importantly, the students need to improve their vocabulary so they can understand the questions and be able to choose the correct one Otherwise, the strategies won’t work!

I took this test before watching your video And I got 20 out of 30 At 42:00 I chose because why not? They didn't also say about "sophesticated" heating systems And I also in the Q1, I felt like you've already taken that test because no way, you were saying blah blah while reading and stopped right on West Asian sentence I made their mistake too

The 7th question (43:20); Isn't the reasoning behind C being an incorrect answer that the highlighted sentence contains thorough explanation and detail about "ingenious furnace development" which the correct answer, B, doesn't miss out on while C just simply says iron-making? After hearing your solution i can see how your reasoning applies but since the question wants the answer that changes the meaning (or leaves out essential information) I believe the reasoning isn't that the text is missing info about carbon ore (which is not really crucial here) but that the highlighted text is basically a definiton of the furnace and it's making in scientific context from a technological perspective Not just 'iron-making', which says nothing about furnaces even though the text is more or less defining a furnace -- C is making it look like the point is who developed it first and why The paragraph actually uses this info as a tool talk about furnaces, not as a goal @Greg Mat

Thanks so much for this I went through it the morning of my Toefl exams and I scored a 25/30 on my actual exam The highest I could get during my practices was 20, but after going through the strategies, I moved from 20 to 25 Your strategies works!
