I’m so glad you demonstrate light colors and you don’t wear black I prefer white and cream colors and brown instead of black I seem to have lots of trouble putting brown outfits together I end up defaulting to black even though I don’t care for it on me

Great video Good information The only thing was that it was hard to see the styles you were talking about because it was not full length, just your chest to head so we couldn't see the styles You have a great sense of style and helpful knowledge about laundering It is a huge difference between overfilling a washing machine to just washing a few pieces at a time When you invest in a nice coat it is cheaper to dry clean it than to buy a new piece the next year

I just started purchasing investment pieces this year so I'm not really sure if I made good investments yet (hopefully yes!), but I was just going through my closet and found some surprising finds like your asos skirt About 10 years ago I have bought these 2 black dresses, one is more of a summer dress, the other is a more formal style of a black dress, I have been wearing them very often, mainly the summer one because I do not attend that many formal events, but they are both looking amazing and fit me great even today The only thing is some mini stud applications on the summer dress are chipping the color tiny bit but that's a super easy fix for me However, it's an amazing success for brands that would now be considered fast fashion and especially for the fact that I bought the dresses on sale for about 5 poudns each :)

I have a black leather jacket from Clavin Klein that I bought in 2012 and I still reach for it year after year I also bought a pair of Jimmy Choo heels with pink crystals on them (which cost me an arm and a leg :) but I love them) that I know I'm going to go back to year after year They are only a little over a year old, but I know I'm going to get a lot of use out of them I wear heels to work (not a requirement, I just like to) so I have them in my "rotation" of heels I wear although I only wear them when I know there is no chance of rain or snow or anything that might damage them :) My main heels that I wear to work are a pair of leather cream colored kitten heels that I got probably 5 years ago and I wear them so much that I've had to get replacement rubber heel tips about 5 or 6 times, unfortunately they are starting to look very worn out though, for obvious reasons, and I want to invest in another pair of shoes similar to them, but I haven't been able to find anything similar to them that I like Please let me know if you've seen anything that you think would be similar

How do you style older clothes in an age appropriate way given you were much younger when purchased and perhaps wish to dress more discreetly now, or more classically than when you originally bought something like a short skirt for example? In other words investing in quality items that last for years but which you might tweak to suit your style as you mature

Amazing - such useful tips! I love the idea of having a day to try on your clothes that have been tucked away for a while - to fall in love again with old pieces but to also use it as a way to give away pieces that are never worn and simply taking up space! I always reach for my high waisted jean shorts in the summer- the more you wear them, the more worn in they are and the better they look! 👌🏻

Hello, Josie Thanks for sharing these great tips Only perhaps you can help further for people who live in tropical countries? Like I do, I found it is bit unnecessary to divide my clothes into two seasons because all year long I wear either dresses or simple combination of blouses and pants/skirts (not so much different between dry and wet seasons here in Bali) I don't think having plenty of clothes or buying clothes frequently will be a smart idea to sustain my clothes quality If anyone read this and would share your thoughts, please do Thanking you in advance :)

I think that it is a rare case that you have clothing for a decade or longer and really wear them Most of the things we holding back and looking after instaed of wearing them because we have to much I think it's better to really choose what you need und wear that daily You never know how your lifestyle and size will change and if you will need new clothes for a new situation 🤗
