Running 2 risers on a single sata cable for over 2 years now on various rigs Not one burned cards, no hot cable, no dead gpu, no dead psu As long as the gauge is of good size and quality there are no problems

24:30 starts pulling cards out of the powered on motherboard Pushing the pc power button off does not fully de-power the board Common way to fry boards and cards Best to pull the power cord out of the power supply and wait 30 secs for the caps to drain
