I’ve always been a huge fan of Scandinavian design and it was so cool to visit this longhouse inspired home I think there are many people out there who love the idea of a tiny house, but just want a little more space and designs like this are perfect for that We hope you enjoy the tour! All that concrete - a durable deck would have been nicer Concrete floors look nice but bad for your body and back and feet It's a nice size piece of land but no privacy at all

I love the design of their home It's very modern and minimalist The closet behind their bed is a very clever idea Good thing that a small sink in the kitchen works for them though I would have preferred a bigger and deeper one with one those wood or "grill" covering a portion of the sink to act as additional counter space And maybe used thick tiles with marble design on the counter top but I guess they do not allow water to stay on the surface so the laminate finish works 😊

The outside is fantastic and makes it look like it would be expensive inside but the plywood walls and concrete floors make it look cheap inside I would have gone with LVP on the floors and painted the walls a light earthy color

I really love seeing tours of these small homes The limitations of a tiny house on wheels, especially how long and thin the houses have to be because of the shape of the trailer, aren't super very appealing to me personally I would want a bit more space than the 300ish sqft you get in many tiny houses on wheels But, I find the apartments I've lived in to be plenty large and would love to have a house with the same square footage, similiar to what you see in this house

I'm curious/confused by the NZ dwelling policy briefly brought up here - it seems like NZ considers the size of the home itself, but not the size of the land that the homeowners own? Ie I could own a mountain, and live in a 45sqm home and consider myself a tiny home owner? Even if I could theoretically make 50 tiny 45sqm "homes" all around my land?

This is a nice place and I would live there myself But calling it downsizing when you a a main house, a garage that is one and a half time the size of the house and an office which is the quarter of the house in size

I love these upsized 'tiny' homes, which are far more comfortable and practical than the usual tiny home designs, but still not obnoxiously large like most homes today This is a 'right sized' home for someone who likes to entertain guests I love the Scandinavian inspired design and the black and tan exterior, it's modern, minimal and just clean Also, I love the fact that they didn't sacrifice garage/shop space As a car enthusiast and DIYer myself, this would be a must for me Beautiful homestead that's right up my alley, well done!
