I don't know if I'll ever max but I did get my first and second ever 99 last year The devs have made some boring skills much more fun to level due to updates Can't wait for desert treasure 2! cabbage? 😅

Agility followed by farming, working my way through all the others in relatively equal proportion now Can't grow a good cabbage without 99 farming

Getting all stats to 70-80 is a much more realistic goal that I’m going for You get all the content at that point and you get to start focusing on solely the things you enjoy the most

I work on a different skill everyday and train it form 4 to 6 hours at a time So far no 99's after the first 2 weeks but its still so fun and I highly recommend that type of play if u want something new every time u log in I also switch to different training methods as well so I'm not stuck in and endless loop of the same stuff everyday

started out of nostalgia, someone gave me a bond in f2p and played some quests, got enough money for another bond so now im back to f2p levelling all my f2p skills for grinding quests

I came back to go for 99 Runecrafting since I was close in the old game and stopped playing before I got it Weirdly, Runecrafting is now my lowest skill, and I’m about 100 QP away from that cape, so the original plan is clearly gone Now I’m pretty hooked on the idea of getting all the hard diaries and quests done, for the story completion aspect Maybe elite diaries one day, but that’s just so much work Really just trying to have a good time along the way and not stress too much!

After a long one year break I came back to this game, and one thing that’s been making it fun for me again is the quest helper plug-in on runelite brbrWhat I did was set it to optimal, and show all quests/diary’s/mini questbrbrAnd went through each quest and diary one by one, super chill and got to enjoy the lore aspect of the game

everyone has their own goals iva maxed in rs2 and have afew 200m from back in the day but since i came back to osrs i cant see myself maxing all i do is pvm and have cb 126 with like 1800lvl hahaha and a i know for sure i will never see a 99 in any skill and dont even blick an eye about it hahaha i just dont have the time i did when i was 13

I haven't played OSRS in 2 years I started playing again and just started focusing quests and I've leveled up sooo much and it felt really good even if it was a couple levels I felt like I made progress soo IMO focus quests

Nice I started OSRS two months ago and I’m now 73 mining I spent most of yesterday making wine in a bank! But at least 20 levels up in cooking lvl 70-ish I’m close to getting my first bond but I feel like more grind should be done before that 😂 yes it is fun but Fresh start ended and now I’m enjoying seeing a vast amount of crazy talk and such walking all over Oh myyyy …

idk if i will ever max osrs me and a friend maxed RS3 in less than a year but we got board and came to osrs maxing is a nice goal but i'm just slowly working on getting my lowest skill up this makes for pretty achievable goals such as right now i am 3 skills from base 75's have all the quests done but really I'm making sure to enjoy the game

I hadn't even heard of Runescape back in the day, and have been casually playing a semi-blind ironman account for about 6 monthsbrbrthe game is really fun I like that it doesn't take itself too seriously, and the quests are hilarious The skilling minigames are also really funbrbrdon't get why people are so attached to keeping the 500-hour grinds, though "Wintertodt for herblore" would be so good, and rebalancing with a flat XP/hr increase for the slower skills would make the game so much more enjoyable

I started playing osrs in mid 2022 with the goal of achieving things I had only dreamed of back in 2006, I was only 8 years old when I started playing and had no attention span, I m getting into bossing now and it gives me a huge adrenaline rush for some reason, it's crazy how an almost 25 year old game is more engaging than most games nowadays

Actually construction can be very profitable if you become a house host after maxing, but you have to stay committed to doing this daily in order to get popular doing it and receive good donations Also, crafting is profitable, the unprofitable quick methods are never ever worth it unless you are extremely rich already Herblore can also be profitable if you are willing to degrime large amounts of herbs and make unfinished potions out of them Im planning on doing this all the way to 99 and making hundreds of millions of GP along the waybrbrAlso, cabbage!

One of the big cons of maxing and this is coming from someone who has 3 accounts maxed, 2x rs3 and 1 osrs, is the post max slump, once you max a lot of if not most feel the "idk what to do anymore" mentality, and takes time to get back into the game, reason why so many irons and limited accounts were made

My personal goal has never been to max, or even get a single 99 Will I get any 99s ever? Yes probably, will I ever max? No, not ever I know myself well enough that I know that I won't max herblore, construction, or prayer ever I will probably max the skills that earn me money some day My goal though is to eventually get questcape and music cape and experience all the content

I don't really get the maxing mentality, most of the skills aren't even worth maxing like smithing, woodcutting, cooking, firemaking etc etc I'd argue that even slayer isn't worth maxing Only reason I keep levelling all those useless stuff is to access more worlds like 2k or 2k200 worlds

nostalgia is a factor but theres just not a single fking mmo with that same feeling of progression and satisfaction its also the mmo that i know the most about and when you come back after a year, most of your items still have the same value as last year and you are just as strong etc because you dont miss out on things theres pretty much no fomo imo

I've been playing runescape for almost 6 years, playing through bonds ever since f2p, which totals to only about 1260ish hours I plan to max, but this is a long term goal that will take a while to accomplish As long as i keep runescape bonds well spaced, i feel no burnout on content, while still manage to get plenty of time to do life activitiesbrGetting one important unlock per bond kept me going and i would say i am about to enter "end game", when i can start getting capes as my unlocks
