Thanks for a very informative video! My jade has a lot of these long branches I feel i will have to do a lot of cutting, but we are getting close to Winter now Is it better to wait till Spring or can I do it now? I have 22-23 degrees in the apartment throughout the day (45 humidity) I dont mind buying a growth lamp too, as I will have very little clear sky days in the next 4 months Comment from : Piotr Strzeboński |

Praying for my plant Have had it for years but because of depression i haven’t been able to water it for 2 years Genuinely suprised it's still alive and yesterday, I ended up pruning it A LOT because i panicked about losing her She had a lot of leaves falling off, and a bunch of dry ones (Though a handful of healthy ones as well) brThis video helped me relax Thought i might have been to harsh on her and that she wouldn’t survive now, but she's a fighter Her death will correspond with the end of the universe Comment from : CorvieDraws |

Can a spot be too sunny for these guys? Last year the middle of some of the leaves on my jade plant went a sort of burgundy colour in a matter of weeks I monitored it for rot/infection but it didn’t spread any further and they’re still happy chillin’ on the tree a year on What happened? 😕 Comment from : Leanne |

What if a small jade plant has too many small leaves growing in a cluster at the very top of a single stem plant? I look at that plant and think there is something wrong with it I think I should remove some of those leaves to direct the rest of them to get larger Comment from : Noe Berengena |

Very informative thanks I put this in the brightest spot in my (attic) flat and it drooped, so sounds like I need a growth lamp I cut a lot off so it looks quite sad now, but hopefully it rebounds like yours did Comment from : bugwandis |

XD i actually achieved this by complete accident, while trying to save my brother's jade, which had a pest so bad that, eventually, it lost every single leave and the upper half the main stem, but it regrowed after i got rid of the pest, all around the top of the chunky stem, looking like a tiny, straight and symetrical tree, which i love but it wasn't at all what i was focused on; just trying to save it from the pest with what was within my reach and some confussing google info xD This is a great video though i'll definitely keep it in mind if it starts bending when it branches farther out (it breaks my heart to cut it, but sometimes it's for the greater good!) Comment from : Crazy Mai |

Thanks for the great tutorial Do you have any advice for a very young jade which is growing upwards fast in direct sunlight but still becoming top heavy? It has leaves all the way up it’s 3 main branches Ideally it’d start branching out but so far just keeps growing up! Thank you 😊 Comment from : Amy Ryan |

Hi! Greetings from Russia :) Comment from : Sergey * |

VERY INFORMATIVE AND HELPFUL!!! Thank you for your help!!! Comment from : Roy Faulkner |

your video is very educational but its sometimes hard to watch because youre breathing gulping and overall just having trouble delivering words Comment from : Lilly Herrington |
|
I recommend placing it in the sun for a week before pruning all of the leaves so that the plant can build some reserves and make faster regrowth I may even split the pruning in to two or three stages, so that there are always some mature leaves to collect light needed to fuel the new buds; this shouldn't take long maybe a month or two in good light and temperatures Comment from : MyTech |
|
Beautiful! Comment from : Mary pliska |

Wow! I have a fairly old jade plant that I am going to do this to, including moving it to a south facing window Mine is in a west facing window downstairs now with a deck above it, so it gets no sunlight!
