I just cleaned out a hair ball the size of my fist! It was in the pipe that exits through the wall and could not be reached by the sink snake that I bought from Amazon Great tutorial and I'm sure I saved a lot of money too!

I have a sink on both sides of the wall I have pulled the P-trap on both sides, so there is no clog to deal with However, this second sink drains r e a l l y slow, despite the short distance (1 foot at most) to the wall tube into the primary sink drain Any suggestions?

IMPORTANT NOTE: The lock nuts at the top of the p-trap loosen in reverse - turn RIGHT to loosen The other one at the bottom of the p-trap nearest the wall loosens to the LEFT I got stuck on that for a while after following the video thinking it was the same till I called Home Depot to confirm

So I live in a shitty shitty apartment building, maintenance wants to charge for fixing our clogged sink and they do shit patch up jobs for everything Other stuff wasn't working so I'm trying to take it apart but after the nuts are loosened I can't get the pvc P trap off All of the dirty water and black sludge stuff has come out so its not air tight stuck but I'm not sure what to do I don't want to break something Should I continue to force it off or call maintenance and admit defeat?

Thanks! But it would've been nice if you showed more detail about that mechanism I think my slow draining is caused by the stopper being too close to the drain I push it up manually from under the sink, but it just won't go higher (for a bigger opening)
