Nice to see your on to the bop pad Justin love your advice and honestybrWe have one of these so thought I would give my perspectives in this mini review for a mini ultra thin sleek Bop Pad brFirstly maybe sleek is not always a positive it's defiantly light and it's thin possibly go with flimsy,, I guess designers these days love thin thin chicks on the catwalks aesthetics over practically every time heybrfirst thing we done and this is big advise to anyone wanting one is br1 mount it on a sturdy piece of wood to give it stability and or a concrete slab br2 Be so very careful when you plug in the cable do not push to hard it does not go in fully and be advised this is no XLR nor midi plug not even a common old tried and tested jack plug, its a tiny rather silly phone socket br I know a Reggae drummer who would obliterate this with his first chop Billy Cobham's keep them hands well away from this sugar babybrAlright that's the pros now let's turn it on !brLoad up the software ohh oh dear ohh plug n play latter You have to twerk it A LOTbrStill have dead notes now and again and still miss triggering ahhh brI give it 10 out of 10 because well Because I am a keyboard player br Now for my review of that giant keyboard br1 defiantly not for girls kids or the small handed guy or the right handed dwarf ribbon pitch bend is on the right that is defiantly a first brok just kidding I really do hope this company get it all right in the end as for me and a few others who purchased a bop pad when they first arrived on the scene it's been rather frustratingly disappointing So far but we must always have faith in innovative people Comment from : Rema Harman |

i got one and the rim on mine also started peeling off and it constantly deactivates making me have to plug it in over and over to get a connection and it triggers sounds by itself just doesn't work very well not well made at all and its really small to play on not big enough for 4 zones hope they make a better version some day cuz its kinda cool maybe one with its own sounds like a drum synth Comment from : K Makers |

How would you rate it next to the Alessis samplepad 4? Comment from : Jaime RC |
|
It IS using FSR However it is not a traditional style FSR In stead of printing piezoresistive ink and conductors on mylar like regular FSR's they use a piezoresistive fabric and print conductors on both sides of the fabric They also use some clever programming and circuitry to get both position and pressure Piezoresistive fabric IS a force sensitivie resistor (FSR) Comment from : enes sabanovic |

People ,it seems, are not realizing the power of midi position sensing Like the Mandala drums Danny Carey uses Comment from : Graviton9 |

Mandalas, Mandalas Mandalas Please arrange an interview with a HUMAN from Synestesia Corp and have them explain what is holding up the Mandala Drum production? Is there an evil corporation holding them up, is there no investor willing to step in? Are they not able to function as a business? Does Danny Carey want to be the only drummer on the planet using them? I've been on their waiting list FOR YEARS!!! synesthesiacorpcom/ Comment from : Kirtan Dreamrezzer |

hey ! i'm looking for add a bop pad to my setup, i was wondering if you get any feedbacks about this product Aare you still using it ? Would you recommand it for playing live ? Did you get any mistakes using it, like bugs ? Comment from : Pierre Thomas |

Justin, a quick comment, I use the KAT Percussion KTMP1 (added it to the Hybrid Kit that I sent an email to you in the last week) My PRO comment of the KAT- it has 50 built-in sound samples, takes my spare Roland Bass Drum Pedal, has a Midi connection (I'll test it connected to my TD-12 Sound Module) & can be used as a hand percussion instrument without sticks & is a decent price CON- Has no memory to save pre-programmed kits, in other words, I can't flip a switch during a live performance to change the 4-pads to another configuration Each pad has to be reprogrammed from the list of 50 samples to build another configuration & it does save the last programmed config on a power down & power up Comment from : Wutever Canada |

Hi Justin, I don't know if this is the right place for my question, but here it is: I connected my TD11-K to my laptop and got the sounds out of Steven Slate drums using Tracktion 7 The only problem I have is that my signal through the headphone jack is too quiet, even though the signal meters fill up 80 of the way I'm using the ASIO4ALL driver for reference Any ideas how to fix that? Do I need a USB audio interface or external DAC with/without an amp? I want to send the signal to a mixing console Comment from : Petar Georgiev |

Im more curious about that pearl mallet thing Comment from : Andrew Miller |

interesting pad, Justin! Comment from : John D Robinson Electronic Drums |

Hey, I remember when you hadn't heard of this product yet It's thin alright, but has a good weight to itbrMy BopPad has a handful of orange spots bleeding through the surface I don't mind that one bit, but it's strange how or why that happenedbrI'm going to try programming the Korg Kronos and BopPad to make the ultimate velocity multi layer setup I kind of wish the BopPad could USB straight into a Roland TD-50 as a digital trigger in Comment from : troublesomecorsair |
