I remember months ago you could start a routine from a google home app and chose in which device run I used to trigger some routines from my phone but now I can't find a way to do it Basically I want to be able to initialize a routine from my phone and run in a specific device Any ideas?brIf I said "run name_routine on name_device" the routine run on my phone 😔

I like your video but here is some stuff I like to see and it’s on topic here What I like to see is why can’t they use the google calendar for creating these routines, my wife works in public school system and when the kids are of school for teacher conferences, teacher meetings, spring break…brI want to create routines for those that would override my scheduler on the thermostat How can some of that be done?

Amazon Alexa is the best for home automation, it has the most skills, brAlso, Google can't add a device to more than 1 room or group; example: kitchen and family room are adjacent to each other and I want the lights in both room to turn broff if I say all, as well as independently turning off either room brAlexa is inexpensive so I bought 8 to equip every room with Amazon Alexa for voice control so that I can just ask 'turn off the lights' and the echo in that room brknows to turn off those lights and not other lights in the house

The thing is, routines should be able to refer to the calendar for setting up routine Having to remember to enable/disable routine is as bad as having to remember to do things in the first place in many cases Still that's progress, and I salute it

Hey Brian great video This confirms that Google really is striving to be in the background in terms of a smartphone And that's something I likeMy family has switched completely over to Google and smartthings and we definitely like it that way A lot of these routines are things that smartthings can do but it's nice that they have them on a more consumer friendly level

Google is putting polish on their routines I've got over 100 routines set, mostly to play radio stations It would be nice to separate types of routines in the app I put that suggestion in their suggestion box brI just found out GH understands Canadian I said "stream CFzedM for 10 minutes and she understood me!
