So i'm in a university dom and we actually got some ipv4 specified for each one of us, the problem is that ppl keep putting each other IP so we sometimes get left out of the network I've got a router but I cant figure out how to make it have that static IP on it so nobody can take it and actually not needing to put ips on my phone or laptop when I need to connect Something like my laptop does, when I got for ex 192168755 ipv4 and open hotspot when I connect with my phone on it ,even without static ip on my phone I;ve internet access, how can I do that same thing on my router?

I want to set the static ip in my PC and not in the routerbrWhen I am doing that with the same ip range, the internet is getting disconnected How to solve this?

so when choosing a new IP address, are we suppose to pick and IP address outside of that range? my router has a range of 1-254, so does this mean that I need to pick an IP address outside of that range? like 1921680255??

I wanted to make a linux web server in my home So a static public ip is needed for that server to publish my contents publicly If i do as well as you say and restart the router isn't the server public ip will change ?

Can anyone who uses the router log in to the same TP-link and make different setting for each user? My brother has warned me a couple times to disable me from uploading and downloading, now hè left the house for a week and I cant even upload my Windows, I cant play any games, I can only use google I loged in to TP-LINK and dont see any change in the settings So I thought maybe the settings he entered on TP-link are only visable on his computer, is this poseble?

Hi: after switching internet provider we were unable to upload pictures we switched routers & x-box & 4 loptops we have get internet except the desktop our internet provider is refusing technical support due to the fact that we have internet After watching your excellent video, It seems that after the switch the ip address was changed and for some reason the desktop is not getting it automatically like the rest of the technology we own Your video is excellent but we aren't techies & don't think we can fix this ourselves Our internet provider should fix this problem, right what do you think?

i Understand the DHCP and static addresses, but there is something i prefer to know why there are reserved private address? why alwasy assign 192xxx to local network? related to subnet class? this is not easy to understand
