My answer to the distant starlight that takes billions of light years to travel to us is this: the so called speed of light is actually a 2 way speed of light, which was beamed and reflected and the distance and the time taken used to derive its speed I feel that the speed is greatly attentuated doing this, and so it is much smaller than the true speed of light, which I think is instant Using this small value for the speed of light, starlight will inevitably take billions of years to reach us However, when I look at stars, near and far, I can feel my eye muscles moving to focus on real objects near and far Some scientists say that starlight is so old and we are only seeing light from the past However, I would argue that it is possible to focus only on an object, and not on light itself as it is just a wave Einstein had stated that it is not possible to measure the true, one way speed of light So, my view is that light comes instantly, and the bible is correct to say that the earth is just thousands of years old

One mistake is assuming the laws of physics here are universal when we observe things not possible by our physics That’s neutron stars a thousand times more massive than our sun spinning at one revolution in 12 hours without flying apart Or galaxies spinning far faster than physically possible So out estimates of distances based on the speed of light May not be accurate
