Nice man I'm running about 110 though Not sure why Card crashed a few times above 111, but it's stable now at 110 and below Fyi Cpu at 80 RAM At 21 gigs Pretty smooth so far

Yeah - I would have made quite a lot of profit had I kept this up Kinda wished I did, because even with this card and all the power it would have used I would have come out a clear winnner But hindsight is 20/20 of course ;)

To be honest, GPU miners are slowly on their way out as well :( When I uploaded this video, I was able to get 015 bitcoins per day in 2011 with this crappy graphics card Now the earning for my card is just a little under 001 per day, takes around a day and half to earn that And it is only getting harder and harder as time goes on

I have a gtx 660 sitting in my closet and it unfortunately it only nets around 100MH/sec - not much better than this ATI card ATI cards are better for bitcoin mining, it's something to do with having a lot more stream processors Basically you can only earn 001 BTC per day right now in most pools with cards like these It's possible to mine with both CPU and GPU but it's actually not worth doing CPU mining at all anymore CPU mining nets such a small mhash/sec amount

you should clean out your gpu cooler! it looks very dusty! Yeah totally consider a gpu upgrade for mining i have the same card as you and I'm going to move up to a gtx 660 for only 180 bucks! Have a question too: is it possible to mine with both the cpu and gpu working together? I'm kinda new to mining sry

oh yeah, absolutely 4850 is so old 2x5870 series for example two of those will get you 800-1000mh But at full power it's reported to run at like 800 watts 2x6930's gets like 700mh but the wattage is around 400 I was thinking about cost for power and heat ModMiner Quad or one of those ASIC miners is just impossible to beat with a home made graphics card setup in regard to efficiency Apparently MMQ isn't for sale anymore though in favor of ASIC miners, though only one is shipping now :

It is slow on a HD4850 as they are old cards On a decent card you can get 800 Mhash or even 1 Ghash/s with SLI or Crossfire

@nlucctw2 Mining in deepbit that card got me around 010 bitcoins per day but it would be better to just buy a new card, 67 mh/sec is so bad and the noise is terrible I gave up out of lack of interest in bitcoin
