Great video Has given the courage to do an upgrade myself for the first time ever One question I had though, I am upgrading from a 2080ti to a 3090 The latest driver on the Nvidia website for the 3090 is 52647, which is actually the version I am already using Do I still need to do a driver clean using DDU in this case? i just got a 3090 but i only have 12 pins worth of power cables i tried to turn it on and there was a red light above the other empty 6 pins is this normal? im assuming it is and i just need another cable to fill the other 6 pins ( my monitor never turned on and the rgb didnt turn on on the card either }

JUST got myself an RTX 3080 Ti OC Aorus after waking up at 6am to rush outside and wait in the rain on the wet and highly windy Tokyo street till 930am to get my ticket and graphics card from the store Now I just reached home, ate, had a nap, and about to install the new GPU into my machine until I came across your video :) Thank you for this I think I will also do the Display Driver Uninstaller method that you just highlighted but before that, I'm gonna double-check to make sure I got all the power cables, which I assume I should have as I got a 950w unit Wish me luck!

Heard that using pig tail (double) PCIE is not recommended But my PSU only came with 3 pig tail cables Could I just plug in each cable separately and zip tie the pigtail cables out of the way?

DONT DO 850 WATTS AND BELOW FOR 3090s From my experience the 850 will play most games but unoptimized games will cause your pc to shut off by itself
