Trading cryptos futures is a way to trade and make money when crypto prices are falling Yes, tokens should be their own asset class with their own derivatives (options, futures,etc) A derivates trade doesn’t care if price is moving up or down, as long as price is moving Volatility is good

I don't think tokens are significantly different from stocks to form their own asset classes While tokens are programmable and can change over time , so do companies The Microsoft of 1985 isn't the Microsoft of 2018 They are in different businesses altogether The SEC seems to be saying ETH was a security during the presage but not a security once it launched and was used as a utility (gas) for other tokens it remains to be seen how tokens will be treated

In bear market everything looks shit, good news are not helping the price i have seen coins sign a partnership with big corporations and price doesn't respond to a seemingly great news, in fact still goes down following the rest of crypto brbr CME/CBOE btc futures are not the problem, they dont offer much leverage 2-3x, we had these options available before on traditional crypto exchanges such as bitfinex, bitmex, kraken, polo and via CFD providers(another derivative) plus500, IG markets offering much higher leverage 100:1 on Bitmex If anything futures and CFDs are good thing, they offer everyone a chance to be a whale? how is that a bad thing? 1 BTC lets you buy or sell up to 100 BTCsbr Prices are the way they are because we are running out of fools or we are dangerously close to it, technology could not keep up with prices and people are disappointed that things are not moving fast enough brDont forget lot of people lost a lot of money and most hodlers are bagholders with up to 95 in paper loss December bull market was the worst thing happened to crypto, hype wasnt justified and crush was inevitable Would have been much better if there was real organic growth, every crypto/coin moves independently with price reflecting teams progress, good or badbrAfter almost a decade of blockchainmania we are yet to see a single successful project which made our lives easier some will point out Brave browser,Steemitwell, that sums it up

It seems like an obsession with crypto news makers and analysts The explanation from the futures market is nonsense Look at the current volume in the futures market and compare that to the overall market cap and volume of BTC Only a few percent and not enough to have significant price impact Also, futures are cash settled and do not trade in underlying BTC
