I should know better than to ignore one of your recommendations I had the yarn & hook I would normally use (didn't want to get up to get a new hook), trying to find a pattern that I liked So, just went ahead & used the larger hook You guessed it, I did several rounds--ripppped New hook, loving it

Fabulous tutorial! I'm making a baby blanket with this pattern but decided to use worsted weight and am loving how squishy it is I know this video is 4 years old so it's unlikely you'll see this comment @FiberSpider, but I can still ask On a typical granny square I usually flip sides on each round to keep it laying flat, which obviously won't work for this blanket Do you have any tips to help this blanket stay flat as it grows?

Hey Spi-Fi, gotta let you know, when you had shown the 2 Lion brand® yarns of "Parfait" & "cake batter"! My "creative juices" started flowing in "Tsunami mode! Pairing the "Parfait with a white yarn, and, the "cake batter with a "soft"-light gray! Using the HDC stitch-for both projects-I think would be smashing! What a project idea!😁🤓🤭 It's "on" as soon as I can get 5 skeins each of the 2 yarns-along with the white and soft gray I'll hook you up(no pin intended) with photos when done! Doug, guy, lefty and doin' it for 53 years!👍🤓🧸🐻

I thought I would never be able to make this so-complicated-looking square; however, today I tried a mosaic square and it came out beautifully! I'm finding my front posts are causing the whole blanket to curl horribly at the edges no matter how loosely I'm making my stitches Is there a fix for this or am I literally the only person in all the world it happens to? I found a tutorial that turned this into a hexagon Now, I'm going to try and combine this with the hexagonal granny cardigan I haven't figured out how I'll add length to the sleeves or the bottom of the sweater yet If I figure it out, I'll let you know If I don't, I'll holler for help
