So it’s kind of a hybrid and can you really call it a “sky scraper”? In modern standards to be a skyscraper by definition it would need to be 40 or 50 stories (decks) high The Icon only has 20 decks (stories) and would be considered a “skyscraper” by 19th and early 20th century definition

It’s not for me but I can certainly appreciate all the ingenuity that went into this massive ship It’s my personal hope that cruise ships will stop getting bigger and start getting smaller and more concerned about customer comfort and experience With this large of a ship over crowding is unavoidable

The cruise ships don’t actually need to go into port technically They can drop anchor further out and take guests by water taxi into shore I have done that plenty of times on other cruises Personally if they wanted to make ships bigger I wouldn’t even mind if they didn’t stop at ports 😂

Can you do a video on how this connects to the grid at port? What infrastructure upgrades are needed to accommodate this? This would be equivalent of plunging a whole town into the grid I imagine most islands are not equipped to handle that
