Maybe it's because I've been playing games since 2000 and I've always had fun at that level of frame rate so i older people might be more tolerant brbrThough this pales in comparison to the newer generation and professional criticism typically calls for better frame rate so perhaps people feel obligated to say 30fps is "unplayable"

for me, 30fps offline games is really playable, but not realy good for online games 😂, I prefer super low potato quality with 60fps than ultra quality with 30fps for online games 😅

A Steady LOCKED Frame-time of 333 or 25 is perfectly fine LOCKED is the key to avoid frame pacing issues that cause blurry choppy visuals

Played Witcher 3 on the ps4 pro for 250hours and had to complain every 10 minutes back in 2018 how bad the fps felt and now Im on ths ps5 on the next gen update and let me tell you the difference is Massive

When you hold them side by side sure you can see it, but if you play a game from start locked at 30 you probably won't notice I played Wo Long which I started at 120 fps (souls like) but as the game progressed the game asked too much of my cpu and had to scale down to 60 fps, however in that process my timings feel off every time probably my mind was already programmed how 120 worked In the end I switched to 1080p and finished the game at 120 fps However if I started at 60 (locked) the experience would be fine brbrSo yes you can def play at a lower fps but you should probably do so from the start

Been playing games since the 90s and my opinion is simple now- 60 is better for fast paced games (shooters, fighting games, racing games, etc), but 30 can make games look more cinematicbrBut neither of those is as important as keeping the framrate consistent If a game is 30fps but it never drops below, you get used to it, same with 60 or 120 or anything
