I think you're missing some things and overemphasizing certain things that are just polish So here's my take:brThe most important thing that trumps every other tip is to have fun doing so brThe most important thing in your game is the primary gameplay loop, is it about fighting, don't make fights feel like a chorebrSound is way more important than graphics or graphic style Your standard combat is way more fun when hits that are supposed to have impact sound like they do Your background music or lack of music in some parts sets the tone for the scenebrStart small Too many games never get finished because of scope creep Start small and let your ideas flow into the game This can naturally affect the scope of your gamebrTightly related to the above Don't build a game or even story around plug ins Use and search for plug ins that fit the game you want to makebrbrAlmost equally important than having fun making a game is, making a game that you yourself would want to play Make it uniquely tailored to you, this way your style of making games can be developedbrbrAnd as a small bonus Try to connect your primary gameplay loop with the way you tell a story If your main character feels guilty for killing one person, but endlessly mows down enemies with no remorse in random encounters, something is amiss

The game I'm making, the main character is the healer of the group, and the main quest is basically 'find your own friends to be a team' instead of a princess we have the main character's dead mother? Sorry- 'dead' mother brI feel like it's not unique enough but I'll expand it as I go Tutorials on niche concepts are a thing and might give me padding ideas But fun padding!

My game ain't exactly a game my game is more like an Interactive story book,so there is hardly any fighting involved in my game my game is more like a mini movie that is just telling a lil story by making the characters interact with all the environment like when you click a statue i put in a lil bit of lore as to why the statue was made?

I feel like there's some parallels to minecraft It's simple and you can do whatever you want, but it rarely if ever takes zero effort I also noticed that some building tips from minecraft youtubers can apply if you're using the default assets, like the simple "don't make a house that's just a square"

Im so caught between what i want to deliver do i want to take YOU, the player, a real human person, and immerse them in a world and let them call the shots and make the choices, or do i want to tell the player a story, building that world not through a players own experiences, but instead building the world from many series of controlled interactions? One is difficult to do right, the other is easy to do wrong i wonder what the players would want, because all in all, the game is all about the experience the players recieve
