Didn't work I put fresh copy of windows on a new drive can't copy my documents and desktop over from my old drive I think Microsoft updates changed something because none of these steps work

if this doesn't work in case folder belongs to some application in C root make a copy of the folder in different locationand rename the original folder , move the copied folder to original location
