This is so inaccurate The ONLY accurate thing in this is David delivering food The valley of Elah is further north not in the wilderness of Judea closer to Gibeah King Saul at this time was rejected by God for not destroying the Amalekites David was not a Stranger to Saul though David was King Saul's armor bearer and his musician who played the harp and sang to King Saul to relieve him of the torment of the evil spirit The Challenge of Goliath as far as the you kill me we'll be your slaves is accurate But Goliath makes this challenge 40 days straight interesting though, before hand, Samuel anointed David King of Israel to replace King Saul also not being able to wear Saul's armor is actually accurate too but if I were David, I wouldn't wear the armor either not that it's heavy, but it's so dang ugly

Actor Ted Cassidy (best known as Lurch from The Addams Family) is playing Goliath He really was a talented actor, unfortunately it seemed he was always only picked for roles based on his size I think he could of handled much more versatile roles and broaden his scope, if he'd been given the chance He had a great voice, and a classy style Still, I enjoyed watching his performance in this special
