Does anybody know the value of the capacitor which the 22k resistor is solder on in version 1 I think it’s a 0805 size but don’t know the value Lost it when tried to solder

Hello, I have did this mod to the exactly the same PSU , used 75k and 15k resistors, everything is fine, I got 1428v while idling, the problem is the PSU is getting hot after running for 10 minutes with 0 load, just idling, is it normal ? I have opened it and the hot heatsing is the one next to the fan By the way, thank you for the video and tutorial :)

Dear friends,I managed to modify 3 PSU-S following the instructions above,replaced the 110k resistor with a 38k and the 22k with a 12kThe result is a STABLE PSU which offers 14,51V at about 140A,because OCP is no longer activeAt 140A we have 13,95V and after 10-15 seconds the psu shuts down,maybe a thermal protection or a power limit protection of PFC stageAnyway the best PSU for the best priceMANY THANKS to djm38fr for his research work

I managed to mod this psu and started using it in my bmw for programming purposes Thank you for your circuit board pictures I used them as reference in my video as well Also tried two psu in parallel connection and seem to be working fine✌👌brbr youtube/yy__P_VLxT4

Thank you for your great video I just received my power supply today, and made it variable from 127 to 15V After some trying, I now use a 36 kΩ resistor (instead of 110 kΩ) for the Over Voltage Protection, and a 10 kΩ in serial with a 50 kΩ potentiometer (instead of the fixed 22 kΩ resistor) to be able to adjust the output voltage Also instead a wire jumper between pin 33 and 39 I put a 47 Ω resistor The circuit may still be improved with a double-potentiometer to adjust the Over Voltage Protection according to the output voltage, but myself I don't need it I will later install a small voltmeter connected to pin 34 to show the current

Hi, great video Unfortunately I ended up with the (DPS 1200-1 A) version of this PSU and of course the board layout is different Can anyone offer any advice or info on how to disable or increase the OVP on the DPS 1200-1 A Thanks

A 22k will not work for the startup on those pins

What exactly is the external 22k resistor doing? I place a 100K and 22K inside of my Version 1 and could turn it up to 1425 before the OVL tripped I have the supply set at 1385 right now Something I have always noticed about this supply, been running it at 12v for a couple years now, ever so often it will make a little sound like it has arching inside Maybe it does :) Never effected the performance though Have you heard this from your supply? Thanks

Hi Thanks for the useful information you shared with us brUnder the video description you have talked about soldering one 22k resistor Watching the video, I understand that I should solder not one, but two 22k resistors One on the internal board (from 7th second of the video) and one on the external pins of the power source - tying 4 and 5 pins (at the begining of the video) Is that correct?brAlso, in the picture form the begining of the video, there is a line drown from the first pin, on the left, to the big pin on the right Should I solder them somehow?
