Believe me the tick infestation can happen however it is in long hair dogs I had a kennel and my friend asked for me to groom him, a beautiful sheepdog I put him into a large wire kennel fortunately on the other side of my grooming area I left to have my evening meal and came back about 45 minutes later I opened the door to see a few hundred ticks crawling up the brick wall behind the wood stove that was next to behind the dog and cage I quickly popped the English Sheep Dog into the tub and sprayed the wall with puppy flea and tick shampoo I don’t believe in overdoing the poisons I can’t tell you how many ticks were there but believe me it was a mass exodus off the dog The owner was extremely grateful for the grooming help

Had an incident with my dog that had a poison tick burrow into its rump & completely disappear under her skin, so - i put the dog into the laundry sink & gave the dog a massage with some indian neem soap - about 5min lataer the tick reversed out backwards head & all & droped dead into the sink / Mmm dog was checked over by a vet & sed the neem had killed any poison that may have been emmitted But because the ticks head was intact n still attached to to its body - most of its toxin was retained & there was nothing to worry about

Tick photo is fake If you see other photos of animals in the wild that are tick infested, the ticks are in different areas on the animal, and not just on one certain spot like on this ear That would be wonderful if that actually was what happened It would be easier to spot and treat

One of the best feelings I've ever had in my life was releasing a fawn that was stuck in the fence of one of my pastures after heavy snowfall, about 25' feet deep The clefted hooves had become caught, and I was able to manipulate and cut wires so that he could be with his mother who was nearby It took me about 20 minutes and it was during a blizzard Oh, WHAT A RELIEF!! 💕

My dog ran through a field of corn during tick season The next morning I was petting her when I noticed there were literally hundreds, maybe thousands of nymph stage ticks all over her She was on Trifexis for fleas, ticks, and heart worms They were therefore dead , but it took me hours to flea comb , and scrape them off with my fingernails and a butter knife It was absolutely disgusting, worst part, h had to go through that field to retrieve her! Obviously I was not on Trifexis, and they had fed and fallen off in my bed This same dog, a Boxer, has also been stung by hundreds of ground bees ( she acted like it was no big deal! But I took her to the emergency vet anyway), and pulled a cake plate off the counter while we were not home When we got home it looked like a massacre had happened, she had clipped an arteriole on her back leg, it had stopped bleeding, but opened up later Took her to the emergency vet again, she had to be sedated and stitched up She was still groggy when we headed home, and stopped breathing on the way home! With vigorous stimulation she woke back up Now she is eleven, and gets into less trouble, thank goodness! That tick picture is just about the grossest thing I have ever seen

We used to live in a very wooded area on Long Island, New York Every day my brothers used to get the Vaseline out and cover the tics with it and when they did the critter could no longer breathe through its back and release from our 2 dogs Sometimes they would pull 20 tics off a day But really how do you miss that many tics within one area!!! Bless its heart Little foxes are precious Someone kicked a little puppy out on our block one time and it's little ears were just full of ticks We took him to the vet and the vet had a solution he put on those ticks and they all dropped off of him dead Needless to say we found that baby a wonderful home

There was a dog that came around our house, I noticed he was really friendly and I was petting him and gave him some treats As I was feeling his neck I seen 2 ticks feeding off him I called the wife to get tweezers and alcohol to clean Once I got them off my wife said it was Kevin’s dog, a kid around the corner So I said well take him home and tell his mother that these dogs need to be treated if they are outside Now these people are not what I would call responsible pet owners She said oh ya I check for them, wife says ya but you treat the dog you won’t have the problem But that went right over her head
