Great ideas I am single so a small winter pantry sounds good for me Maybe no more than 3 cans of each canned goods for me because I have to eat what I buy and don't want to get tired of eating it lol Different water sizes is a great idea also This will be my first try at it so I will give it a try

I just had my eyes opened to a situation in my own prep stashin an emergency situation there my not be a way to cook your food so items like beans, macaroni and other items that require cooking may not help you stash plenty of items that can be consumed without cooking

Off the top of my head the only thing I would add to your list is powdered eggs So many recipes, especially for baking, will require eggs and when fresh eggs are not available it would be nice to have an alternative Great job on the video I really appreciate that you took the time from your obviously busy schedule to help us Thank you

Large bags of flour & most things like 25-50lbs need to be broken up into smaller packs Reason is because when opened it will need to be re-sealed to last long enough for you to actually use it all I put everything up in 3-5 lb Mylar bags Also invest in a food saver with the jar sealer and you won’t have to purchase oxygen absorbers again

It might be worth it to install some insulation on the garage door and think about ways to include the garage with climate control since I can only imagine what the humidity and heat does to the integrity of the stored items Not to mention cutting shelf life in half for each hot humid hour…

Very cool & very well organized, excellent & actionable content; and I thought 25 years in the military made me OCD, I mean that in the nicest way possiblebrbrThank you for sharing your content FYI & Action as appropriate: I am a big fan of hot chocolate, ( I grew up in NY, and the average snowfall was 5 feet ); however, I watched a concerning video recently, and instead of going into a lot of detail; I will just say, you may want to run your cocoa powder threw a fine strainer; and discard anything that will not pass through brbrI started working on building up a food storage supply system a couple of years ago; but I made some mistakes brbrI made identically filled, very large tote tubes and being out of sight, and out of mind in a cool and dry space; I had items like ketchup, mayonnaise, and even hot sauce and so on go out of date brbrI tried to set them up as one month kits, but since I did most of the shopping in one or two food shopping visits; the dates ended up being to close together to consume brbrMy wife is a hard line stickler for the best used by dates; were as, to me If it smells good and I can identify it; I eat itbrbrAt anyrate, looking forward to any other fun facts and tips you may provide, thanks again for sharing your experience and methods; very useful!brbrPeace
