Amazing video I’m starting a mining rig and just going with one card to start off with and build up Been racking the internet for hours looking for the best for price etc and this video had it all Excellent work man so much time went into this! I may have missed it, but does your formula take into account the efficiency of the GPU itself? With electricity costs going to the moon, wouldn't it be prudent to factor that in? It is around this time before the halving that I sold most, if not all of my gtx 1000 series (approximately 6-8 months ago before the may 2020 halving) We all know what happened to that one while the gpu prices were at the lowest at the moment, the price sky rocketed to mrsp prices or more after the halving regardless of how old it was This next halving may be different though, but I'm hoping another coin takes its place like Kaspa :) Comment from : @Pilaspilas911 |

Ok, first off thank you for your always completely detailed and thought out videos!! Now my argument here is that all these card prices are used, most likely mining cards The longevity is questionable with used, and at the prices of the 3070,80,80ti its not much less than a 4070, which efficiency is better than the 3080 series and pretty close to tbe 3070 Also when going over your other video comparing them all AMD dominated in everything but ergo and kaspa i believe, so im not sure how they did so terrible in this lol Comment from : @B_ROB_82 |

Thanks for all the work Seb It's helpful to see this kind of stuff The one important thing this spreadsheet leaves out is watts used I have all the Nvidia cards on your list and my 3080's are the only cards that are NOT profitable on anything right now That's at 12 for power I'd never buy a 3080, but it scores very high on your list It might be a value score in terms of buying, but it would be a waste of money for mining if it loses money 24/7 brbrYou did compare these in the other video so that helps a lot If you added a column to the spreadsheet that included the rankings of the most efficient cards, that would make it easier to see the best options Comment from : @jgreat4785 |
